Tues.June 21st, First Day of Summer!

Join us as we travel North America in our
Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August 2006

The first day of summer, yes !! Those "lazy hazy crazy days of summer", we practice for this all year round now we can actually do it.
The longest day of the year, now they get shorter until winter. Long awaited by everyone, summer is here, love it, this means its gonna get hot, shorts, t-shirts, sandals, the beach, swimming, BBQ's, campfires, baseball, fishing, golfing, all kinds of outdoor stuff. School is soon out for summer vacations, busy campgrounds, adults and children having so much fun.

Hmm that sounds like us, we have been enjoying an endless summer since 2006. As the seasons change we try to follow the warm weather so that we can wear the summer clothes year round. We do find a few cool times of the year but overall we do pretty good living in Canada for 5-6 months of the year. Barbecuing and outdoor living is our lifestyle, fresh air, walkabouts, sitting in the shade with a book and chatting with neighbours around a campfire is a wonderful life.

So thats what we did today. Walkabouts, chat with fellow campers and staff at the resort, putter around, read for a bit, give myself a haircut (with Suzie's help), and BBQ a nice pork loin roast with baked potatoes and corn on the cob.
tasty roast pork
After supper we read a bit more, then Phil and Judy had another campfire so we joined them along with Jim and Eunice to solve a few more problems of the world. The forecast says possible rain so need to do it while we can. And as it turned out we did have a thunderstorm overnight after we called it a night. As long as its a warm rain all is good.

  1. Rain is okay as long as it falls while you are in bed. Everyday we say to each other how lucky we are to be living this lifestyle:))

No problem with the rain at night, keeps the gardens growing. And yes, we too are so lucky to be able to live this lifestyle.

  6. Sounds like the good life. Gotta love it. Now if only we could get summer. We are working on it. We have seen the sun a little more and the temperature is working it's way up :).

You will get some sunny warm weather and really enjoy it when it come, but certainly not like Mexico.
