Cold Sunday, been waiting for more days like this to get some inside stuff done anyway.

Where are we today ?
Clic on a pic to enlarge it
Today again it's cool but not snowing yet ! A few walkabouts this morning was nice so quiet and peaceful at this time of year.
Goose puppies are growing
Then because of the cool weather had some indoor stuff to do. Clean, wax and polish our woodwork in inside. Perfect weather for this and got the front half of our coach done before noon. Don't need to do it all in one day, perfect ! Make a bite for lunch the carry on.
this what we used , got at the rv show in Quartzsite a couple
years ago does a great job
looks amazing !
But right at 12 noon  today (after lunch) we had SNOW! Not funny, this is the middle of May ?  Did not stay on the ground so no big deal. But it will be  nicer at some point, we know that. Not sure when but it will happen,
snow stuff on our table.
Enough chores for today. Read, relax, more walkabouts , chat with a few people and a very nice workout at the fitness centre here for an hour or so.
In the meantime we had planned to do pork ribs on our Weber Q but with the overcast weather and temps not much above freezing think our antique slow cooker would be a better choice.
This "Crock Pot" was in my restaurant for 10 years used every day for 10 years from 1989 to 1999 and still works perfectly. But had a plastic lid , just needs some foil over the top it's not a big deal. New ones have a glass lids that could break in an rv.
the old crock pot still works like new
Just layer the ribs in there with sauerkraut on high for 4 hours. Removed the sauerkraut added some BBQ sauce and on low for another hour or so the amazingly tender, fall off the bones pork ribs. Not too bad for cooking inside !
Ribs, kraut and a tasty salad
worked great for us
Before we knew it the day was done and we did not have to go anywhere. Gotta love these kinda days. Not even time to turn on the TV until 8 o'clock tonight, (that's normal anyway).

Glad that you stopped on by and hope you had a fun day too.

  1. Snow in May is just rude! But ribs are good anytime! The brightwork looks great!

  2. We had only a few flakes float by today but other areas close by turned white for a short while. This weather is crazy for this time of year.

  3. I don't mind the heat so much when I read about snow. So we stay inside and get things done because it is too hot and you can stay in and get things done because it is too cold. Gotta love it.

    1. Can always find a way to deal with the weather. I would rather try to cool off than warm up though.

  4. I concur; poor weather is a good time to complete indoor chores. Looks good!

  5. We're less than 300 miles south of you... we had hail yesterday. Maybe this cold spell is about over... I sure hope so!

I know what you mean about not being funny. We had snow too. Yuck! Guess next year we will have to wait until July to head back to Ohio...lol

  7. The cold is even dipping way down here - in the mid 40's in the morning. After the early hot we had, it's actually nice to be getting some spring weather now.
