Fri. Feb. 11th 2011 Benson AZ

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

Cold nights good for sleeping, below freezing so we disconnect our water, but the sun comes up and heats everything to about 75 f. (19c). So we putter about and walkabout enjoying each day as the sun and cloudless blue skies do their magic warming everything up for us. This morning a bit of shopping early and we went to the two bookstores in town to exchange,  but they were closed, Presidents Day weekend.
1958 Chevy 3500
At the service station I caught a picture of this 1958 Chevy truck, the body in great shape, just the paint has been tortured by the sun here and when running it purred like a kitten, we do see a lot of vehicles like that here.

Back home the sun was on our patio no wind and quite hot, so open the awning and set up our chairs to relax and read.  As the mood strikes me between chapters I putter about a bit more, put the BBQ and tables away, empty our holding tanks and put away the hoses, we are "on the road" in the morning heading east and south into Texas along I-10. I even had time to soak in the hot tub and swam in the very warm pool for a while, so nice.

We have been here a week and so far have resisted the Broaster Chicken at the service station only 100 yards from us. Seeing as this is our last night here we treated ourselves to their chicken and fries, its soo good as long as you order it fresh made, I order at 4:00 for 5:30 pickup and they were just packaging it up when I returned. We even have enough left for a supper on the road, it came with potato salad too.
yummy supper
After supper we chatted a bit about our travels for the next two days and we came up with some possibilities, so I guess in the morning we will head out and see where we end up for the night tomorrow, somewhere around El Paso Texas no doubt.
