Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August. 2006
We are having weather, a few days of it this week. Its good to relax, sit in the shade, even turn on and exercise our air conditioners. Drink plenty of fluids and have a swim to cool down. The temp in the afternoon was about 34c (90f) but with the humidity felt like 40c (104f). Not very often does it get this warm here, but its something I could enjoy more of.
In the morning we had our new Shaw/Direct satellite system installed. Good deal, free dish, receiver and installation, no contract and we can legally take it into the USA and Mexico and receive our programming with technical support as well. We visited with my sister and brother-in-law for a while until they decided after lunch it was time to pack up their kitty kats and head back home, maybe go out in their boat.
With a relaxing afternoon and some reading in the shade we had a nice light supper of grilled salmon fillets, chinese noodles and a tossed salad. Then more outside fresh air enjoying this beautiful weather to read and chat with neighbours until dark.
Strange Canadian Laws
In Kelowna BC 1932 a bylaw was passed making it illegal to dig a hole or pit on any property unless it was to erect a building. The fine for doing so was $100.00 but was repealed in 1990.
