Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August. 2006
More great weather today. The heat wave has settled down for a few days but promises to come back, I'm waiting. We took a nice drive this morning into Bobcaygeon, a nice village on the Trent waterway where I had spent many summer days when my father had is house there after he retired. We met a couple we knew from the campground at Tim Hortons there for a coffee and snack then a bit of shopping on the way back home.
We puttered around for a bit and put our mat away so it would not get wet in the proposed rain we were to have in the afternoon. Only had a sprinkle thou, but we are heading out in the morning to Rock Glen Resort in Arkona anyway, for a week or so. Yes we did have time to read for a bit, chat with some neighbours and then make one of our favourite suppers of chicken wings, fries with veggies and dip. Then outside to read a bit more, we are noticing the days getting short now, have to come in by about 8:45 pm.
Thanks for the read.
Strange Canadian Laws
In Alberta 1909 the Minister of Agriculture paid a bounty of ten dollars for each timber wolf pelt, one dollar for each prairie wolf pelt and one dollar for each wolf pup pelt. But if the wolves acutally came from another you could face a one hundred dollar fine.
