Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August. 2006
We had a good nights sleep, even Jesse and the boys cuddled on the couch after surprising us with a visit at 9:00 last night. A beautiful day today, with everybody awake, fortified with juice and coffee we began our busy day. Toys in the sandbox and playground, a walkabout the resort checking out the fish in the pond, the splash pad, pool and stopping to play in all the playgrounds. Back home a breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast, then back outside to play. Sandbox, swings, slides, huge tires, soccer and another young boy kept us all busy for a while. Then a frindly rv lady loaned us a her nephews swim suit for Noah and we all went to the pool to swim. Just me and the boys splashin and having too much fun. After and hour of this back to our site to replenish our carbs with BBQ'd hotdogs and chips for lunch and take a quick tour of a few cabins, then we had a fun game of mini golf for the bunch of us. Then (whew) we took a walk across the road to check out Rock Glen Falls, a very nice scenic walk to the base of the falls.
After all this fun they had to go home so were on the road shortly after 2.00 pm then Suzie and I began putting stuff away for our departure on Wednesday. We got our laundry done, vacuuming and a few things put away. Relaxed in the sun for a while then I made a schnitzel on a bun for a light supper. Once this was done friends of ours from Woodstock arrived to stay for a couple of weeks. He had just got out of the hospital yesterday from heart surgery to repair a hole in his heart. So a couple of friends brought him, his wife and daughter to the resort and set up their trailer for them. Once they were set up they joined us under our awning with a propane fire to take the chill off. We compared stories of our winter travels and his amazing fight for life (47 yrs old) in the last 6 months. Wow what a catchup time, it seems would could have chatted all night, but we do have to take care of ourselves, so we packed it in just before the rain started.
