into the Fleamarket
Sunday morning cooler, windy and overcast, so we puttered around for a while, had breakfast then it got sunny so we took the 20 minute drive to Grand Bend. The Pinery Fleamarket as you probably know is one of our favourite places to go. Walking about thru the trees, some sunshine poking thru, the smell of fresh cut fries and the singer in the background makes for a nice stroll. Our mission today was to replenish our bookcase. The first stop is to visit John as he will exchange 2 for one. We brought in 8 and got 4 free. Purchased a few more from him and checked out 4 other used book vendors and picked up a bunch more. From here into Grand Bend for a drive down to the beach, just because we could and see what's new. Then stopped at Sobey's for some groceries.
Back home I worked on a recipe for Fetuccini Alfredo, with the sauce made from pureed steamed cauliflower, french shallots, olive oil and parmesan cheese. With this we each had 3 giant shrimp from Mexico and fresh french bread, a very tasty and satisfying meal. Followed by a movie.
