Now this is the summer time weather we have been waiting for. Windows open all night with a light breeze very comfortable for sleeping At 5am was 67F outside and warming quickly as the sun came up. Shortly after 7 am I enjoyed a nice walkabout town stopped by Pettigrews chatted for a bit and back home 2 miles done. Then a quick trip to the Pharmacy to pick up our prescriptions. Read outside for a bit enjoying this lovely hot morning weather in the shade .
nice view of the sunrise and mist over the yard
10:30 this morning under our awning that is in the sun.
loving it (actually only 89f under the tree)
We headed to New Hamburg to pick up Suzie's Dad for 11 am to go to Anna Mae's in Millbank a favourite place we love their home cooked meals, but have never ordered anything other than their Famous Broasted chicken that we all really enjoy. Waiting to be seated for a minute or 2 another couple came in that we all knew from their Church,  Sam and Ada Wagler so they joined us and the gums just flapped chatting and telling stories enjoying our tasty meals for almost 2 hours. Also at 2 tables about 20 women just behind us stopped by and most said hi. Always seem to run into people when we come here over the years. We dropped her Dad back in New Hamburg and were home here about 2 pm. Of course I brought a piece of chicken home on purpose. Another tasty lunch to enjoy.
LR:Ada, Sam, Suzie's Dad and Suzie
I ordered the 4 piece chicken dinner with fries, sauerkraut, and a cheese bun.
a large meal but no desert for me and
I planned to taken some chicken home
Suzie enjoyed fresh strawberry pie for desert
lots of great pies to take home if you like
only $11.95
Heading home through Crosshill passed a large mennonite
wagon, ( 2 horses) so many in this area
We read outside under our awning and still 92 F so just before 3 pm  I actually did get in to enjoy the pool and cool down. The water temp was 78F warming up nicely.  Now refreshed enjoying the warm shade and nice breeze and of course more reading. A later than usual happy hour, there will be no supper tonight, not needed after our lunchtime feast. Maybe popcorn later on with a movie.
the pool is so inviting  and was very refreshing
I am going to wrap this posting up early, just going to read outside and enjoy the birds and mourning doves cooing, and few, bunnies' squirrels and chipmunks to keep us entertained as well. Reading as long we like outside , chat a bit and head in later on. Maybe catch a sunset later on this evening if I do you will see it tomorrow.
That was a very nice day visiting and enjoying a tasty lunch and this amazing summer weather we are having and the bonus of cooling off in the pool, first time this year here, I am sure many more times as well. Oh by the way did get the results of my blood work I had done yesterday emailed to us from the lab. And according to what we checked out from previous tests all looks good and levels have even dropped including my PSA, so looks like we can keep going for a while yet, Yahoo !
These 2 pics below were last nights sunsets just down river road from here about 9 pm.
You know we enjoyed our day hope you enjoyed yours as well and thanks for dropping by for a peek.

Perfect weather for wrapping up our last day here.

Another great sleep . Having stayed awake until 10 pm last night because I was outside until 9 Pm enjoy the warm air and more of a wonderful sunset. I actually slept until 5:30 this morning, ah thats better but seems like a later start to my day, lol...
Got a nice morning walkabout , and what is going to be another wonderful day.
nice sunrise on the walking bridge
me and my long legged shadow
Finally at 9:30 Suzie had the laundry sorted so I took it into Wapa the nice new laundry they opened last year., or was it the year before? All wonderful front loading new machines, and completely redone. This place is spotless. The friendly lady there so helpful with this card system, I have chatted with her over the years. She has been working here for 9 years now. Probably as long as we have been coming here.
Laundry done and folded I was home in an hour by 10:30. Suzie put it all away. Then we had already decided to go for lunch our last day here. And the place we enjoy is the Lucky Steer, in particular their broasted chicken one of our favourite meals. They have a very extensive menu, but we need our broasted chicken fix, lol. They had All you can eat Fish and salad bar today, but we were here for the chicken. On Fridays they have all you can eat chicken and fish for less than 10 bucks , we had that last year, was excllent.
So we ordered the 3 piece chicken with fries and a side salad. what an excellent side salad , almost a meal1
a huge side salad included
3 pieces of chicken each and a fresh baked biscuit for me,
we know it was cooked to order chicken takes 20 minutes
very hot, oh my so good !
We enjoyed every bite but could not finish it, no problem left over chicken and buns is wonderful for tomorrows lunch. And all this food for less than 20 bucks. Worth it for a nice tasty treat . Our last day here. Bo supper tonight thats for sure, ws our pan anyway.
One of the nice things about this campground is we are less than 2 miles from most everything in Wapa, other then the old town. Back home by 12:30 dropped Dsuzie off, now I can head back over I-75 and pick up a few last minute groceries without dragging Suzie along, she hates shopping.
we have toured this museum many years ago
a wonderful place to visit some history
that I saw live way back when
Now back home once again. to put out Weber Q away, check our tires and oil on the coach, have a nice long hot shower, dump and flush our sewage then top up our fresh water tank that we will need back home.
Even lotsa time to relax outside enjoying our page turners, beside an afternoon campfire on a wonderful 68f sunny spring afternoon. Some one had left some nice firewood here and was a perfect day to use it up. First campfire this spring.
they have nice new fire pits here on every site
couple of hours later it burned down soon all gone
thanks whoever left it
The we hooked up our car having a nice pull through site so we don't have to do it in the predicted cold weather tomorrow morning. Just need to unplug power and away we go .
ready to head out in the morning
Ok we had a wonderful last day here, getting things done, enjoying the weather, a tasty, lunch, a campfire, even a happy hour for the 2 of us. Enjoying our page turners still outside at 7pm and 70 F here on our patio . I want to wrap up this posting and cheat with a late night sunset photo I took after last nights posting. Probably close to that again tonight. So I can get right back into my book.
such a colourful sunset
Thanks again for stopping by and following along with us. Glad you dropped in. Our last posting for this winter in the the USA and all the wonderful places we have been. Only about 300 miles or so tomorrow and a boarder crossing, back to new Hamburg for a couple of weeks, is our plan, but ya know things can  change.
