Where are we today?
Stratford, Ontario
|
Pork chops, mashed potatoes, corn |
Again another good sleep last night. Had my cereal. Suzie arrived at 9:30 and kind of planned our day.

Blue sky |
Got a text message from Rob and he wanted to come for a visit today. So this afternoon is a good time. Coming by himself, as Pat is not feeling well with her cold. It will be nice to see him again. Not sure what time, but anytime is good. It was nice to have a visit with Rob and he went home about 1:30.

Rob |
Then my Happy Hour started, my favorite beer, Old Vienna. It has been hard to find but Suzie found it here in Stratford.

ReplyDeleteCareful you could get fat eating all that food.
It's about time.
Love reading your blogs glad to hear u r having more good days than bad lots of good food u r eating blessings
ReplyDeleteLOL - Meatloaf ... (aka Marvin Aday) One of my favorites! Lots of fun fast music! perhaps like peanut butter on a hot dog, he could be an acquired taste.
ReplyDeleteYou're looking good George, continued positive vibes your way!
"my favorite beer". I could swear you've said that several times before! :) :)
ReplyDeleteLovely to see your smiling face George. I'm not a beer drinker but that beer looks appealing.
ReplyDeleteI have been reading every one of your posts, however I now can inly comment as anonymous. Still no idea what the problem is.

I love your Chefs comments. He’s funny. Looking good George. I think it’s the beer!!! Sending good thoughts and hugs.
ReplyDeleteDo you have to pay for your time at this Hospice and the food????? In this part of north America one has to pay, if you own a home you really pay, one has to be almost penniless to stay at any hospice...If you are paying, why is the food served in fairly small portions and your wife brings lots of food from home and from restaurants..One day at a time...?????
ReplyDeleteWow, not sure I like your attitude but feel the need to respond. Hospice care is covered by social security. You do not need to be broke. George's food is served on a smaller plate. He has had surgery and has to eat smaller portions. His wife brings food because she loves him and wants his time left on earth as pleasant as possible. Geez
DeleteWOW... I'm sure many do not believe it is anyone's business about who is paying for what. George gets cravings for different foods just like the next person, and it is wonderful Suzie can run out and get the foods which George loves and craves. Plus, it is fantastic that George is craving foods, and has a appetite to eat food. Perhaps the author of the above should volunteer at a Hospice facility to experience the true and raw emotions and real life that goes on in such a facility. God Bless Suzie, and all of the family for the love and support they give to George.
DeleteHow nice that Rob made it for a visit. I'm sure that was fun for both of you. Sorry that Pat is not feeling well, she would have enjoyed it as well.
ReplyDeleteFood looks good, lots of it in my books!
I think I'm falling for chef Michael.
ReplyDeleteThank you Flowergirl some people are just well you know.
ReplyDeleteGeorge that first picture of the pork chops, potatoes and corn looks so good. And more fun signs from Chef Michael LOL.
Keep smile George and One Day At A Time. Blessing for You and Suzie
Good friend, good food, good beer. Sounds like a GOOD day!
ReplyDeleteMicheal has such a great sense of humor much like yourself...I get a kick out of his signs.
ReplyDeleteYou are looking good, I too believe it is the beer and all the love and care from Suzie, your family and friends.
Looking like you're enjoying those fluffy comfortable pillows. I'm glad you're able to rest comfortably. Enjoy that beer.

ReplyDeleteYour meals look great but I've never heard of Old Vienna beer so I'm off to research it.
ReplyDeleteI am the anonymous person who inquired about any payment and the foods!!!!!!!!! I volunteer for domestic violence centers and animal no kill shelters and serve food to people who don't have any food...You pay and pay in this part of Washington state for just about everything..I worked in a hospital setting for Veterans for most of my working life, I know when people are in hospice and few get anything now Veterans being on top of the list...I have followed geo & suzie;s blog and it seems to me he is well taken care of..for your information not everyone in this part of the North America lives in such a wonderful small at that hospice there are waiting times here for it and one has to be almost destitute to get in a good one, social security has nothing to do with it here, many would prefer to be at their place of residence but have outlived their relatives and fallen thru the cracks..I did not mean one dadblased offense but for your information geo & suzie are wonderful....grrrrrrr!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous your intent might be well meaning, but totally inappropriate. I'm Jeff Pierce, I will not hide my name from you. Fran and I buried our mothers within a few weeks of each other, a bad year for sure, but I cannot say the praise of the assistance we received loud enough.n I am a veteran, I've had friends and family die in my arms. Come out of the shadows or go away.
DeleteHow nice that Rob came by to visit, he's looking good! Sorry that Pat is still fighting a cold, but smart for her not to come this time. Food is awesome once again and that Chef has the greatest sense of humor! Love your pis George you are looking good. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was that apple crisp that grabbed my attention George.
ReplyDeleteWhy would I put my name in this blog when so many think I am a creep for simply asking how the Canadian system of health care treats their people??? No thank you..I think the people who are critizing my comments don't really read the comments..George looks well fed and taken care of totally..Not many in this part of North America in the USA have the same time of it at all...Washington state is lovely and wonderful but everyone doesn't get the opportunity to be in hospice due to many many rules and regulations..George is fighting valiantly and greatly loved and many prayers, you just did not read my original comments at all and by the way I have also been to many hospices here and many are not as nice as what George is able to be in..so there..one day at time..and chill out to the Jeff Pieerce family you don't know me and I doubt I would want to know you and your family, I only went online and wanted to send only good wishes, prayers and love to geo&suzie..you sound like a nut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
