Tornado warning, this afternoon but still a wonderful sunny warm day.

Where are we today ?

Another nice warm night (60f) and today we will play it by ear. Started with a wonderful sunrise right out our dinning room window. Not a clear view with stuff in the way, but was still pretty nice.
Then a few walkabouts the resort, a couple of miles done down by that lake and around a few times. What a wonderful morning it was.

so peaceful
Now back home to whip a large pot of homemade chicken noodle soup. With the broth I made from the grilled chicken we did the other day. A perfect day for it. Now we have soup, that we love for a few lunches.
nice hearty homemade chicken noodle soup
After lunch another walkabout and drive about town for a bit then relax outside enjoying our e-readers. Clear blue skies and temps got to 73f. perfect way to enjoy more of this wonderful weather.
supposed to be overcast, but not yet
the pool looks so inviting but not heated
still too cold for me
About 3 pm I prepped  some baby back, pork ribs to cook on our Weber Q in sauerkraut that we love.  For the recipe you can click HERE or my recipe blog top right side bar. Couple hours in spice and sauerkraut, then ready to hit the grill mat slathered with some sticky tasty BBQ sauce. Nicely glazed they we so tasty, fall off the bone ribs, just the way we like them!

Salad and kraut the ribs were awesome
Just as I was getting ready to take the ribs off our Q skies clouded over and we having a severe weather warming on the local tv channel.  Perfect timing! Love that the local tv channels on our antenna, cancel all programming in the area to give us updates.
Wind and rain came but we were prepared for it. Slide in, windows closed and outside secured. Major wind and rain lasted about 15 minutes then all calmed down and we had a wonderful rainbow. No tornado warning in our area. Perfect.
love a nice rainbow after a storm
That was our fun day enjoying this great, interesting weather. And a very tasty supper on our Weber Q. What's not to live about BBQ'd ribs?
Thanks for stopping in and hope you had a great day as well.

Where have we been this Winter

  7. Why do you put your slides in during bad weather?

    1. We have just the one large slide and the 50 plus mph wind and rain hitting it right on, we though it a good idea, stopped the rocking quite a bit, plus the tornado warning as well. Our coach is fully usable with the slide in so not a problem.

  8. Just make sure to stay on the roads they engineered around tornadoes as you travel... :cD
