Happy Easter Sunday and family time number one.

Easter Rice Crispy Lamb, 

       A very nice mild night, windows open for sleeping was perfect. This morning a nice early walkabout town for an hour enjoying the peace and quite of small town Easter Sunday morning. Home by 8:30 and clouds came  overhead and a nice warm shower for about 10 minutes then the sun was shining again. Looks like it will be a wonderful Easter Sunday.

       Got another walkabout across the road behind us through the bush. Some nice walking, mostly atv trails that local kids use, down by the Nith River and across a couple of harvested corn fields. Enjoying this wonderful sunny warm weather. Gotta enjoy it while we can, gonna cool down again soon for the next little while but still doable for us.

      Then at noon we headed into Kitchener for a family get together with Suzie's Aunt and Uncle's place. With our seafood salad to add to all the food that we will consume. Will be nice to see them all again and catch up. Most everyone there except her cousin from Germany. About 28 of us in all.

    A wonderful spread of food, Bone in ham, farmers sausage,  hot veggies, mashed taters, and fresh buns.

      Then we had 5 different salads, veggies and dip homemade mustard, and colourful hard boiled eggs. Variety of cheeses as well.

     Then of course desert, lotsa choices, raspberry custard pie, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, blueberry pie and cheery cheesecake.

    Also fresh fruit, dip and sugar cookies.

     Then a bunch of adults got into an exciting card game of Rook. Could tell it was exciting with all the yelling and laughs. Suzie even got right into it as well.

     What a wonderful afternoon with great company, excellent food, conversation and catching up with the whole bunch of Suzie's family. Finally about 4:30 we said our thank yous and see y'all later .     I even snagged the Ham bone, to freeze for a future pot of Ham Bean soup, Thanks Earlus and Delore ! Then we headed back to relax outside in Plattsville on this wonderful warm sunny afternoon. Peace and quiet other than the birds chirping as well as a few Mosquitoes! Buzzing around. What are they doing here in April?  Just enjoying posting this blog and reading outside for a while as well. Working on some good books both of us.

      Now that was a pretty perfect Easter Sunday get together and perfect weather to go right along with it. We will do it again tomorrow with my family.
