Met fellow bloggers, more friends arrived, explore a bit more and just enjoying this awesome weather !

Where are we today ?
Boy do we love this time here in Quartzsite. Up early before the sun, watching it rise over the mountains, the usual coffees and computing and off to the local grocery store before it gets busy. Quartzsite Market has a nice butcher there and sold me 12 oz on ground chuck for two home made burgers we wanted to make for supper.
Then to the Road Runner Market for some fresh produce and cheap beer. Back home before 9 am and Suzie and I headed out to Tyson Wells and check a few vendors. Not every one is set up yet but we will be back a few times in the next couple weeks.
New this year is the Quartzsite Trolley making a loop around town every 45 minutes only $2.00 a ride or better deal if you choose to frequent this great service.

We wandered about for a couple hours until we received a text that our friends were arriving. Lotsa cool stuff to see and maybe a deal here and there, but need to check your prices. Different vendors have different prices for the same items here.
We got a lot of fresh air, sunshine and exercise again today. Nice thing right now is no crowds, they will arrive on the weekend.
this a popular place but VERY expensive!
not for us
delivery service in town now too
Need a gun permit? get it here
About 10:45 this morning got a text that our friends are checking to La Posa west. So only a few minutes away we head on back.
Now talking about a small world as we turned into our area we spotted this Jaguar Jeep turning in as well with two red kayaks on the roof! Now who travels in the desert with kayaks? None other than fellow bloggers Terry and Jerri (Just Wanderin').We have followed each others blogs for a couple years and almost met two years ago. Looks like today is the day. They are in La Posa South with a group and we are meeting friends here in La Posa west and guess what? We all met at the same time at the gate.
Terry and their Jag, easy to spot
Finally we met up and showed them, our home dirt spot, but then they headed off exploring promising to return and we welcomed our friends and got them all arranged where we are set up.
Me, Jerry, Terry and Suzie
Was asked the other day how we carry our bicycles. Easy, peasy, bike rack on our tow bar carries our  two bikes, been carrying the around since 2006.

Next question. We do have a 130 watt solar panel on our roof, and a 1200 watt inverter.  To six volt house batteries and we can get buy hardly ever having to run our generator as long as we conserve and the sun is shinning. Works great for us.

I have been looking for a few years for the plastic handle thats opens our screen door. Old one all cracked. Well today found one at Gamblers Rv in Rice Ranch. Modified slightly and works perfect now! Can find almost everything you need here in Quartzsite if you look long enough.
new handle installed works like new
Chat with our friends, catch up and make a few tentative plans for the next week or so.
shade and sun we discussed our great lifetsyle
our three rigs right here
almost a full moon tonight
Now to fire up our Weber Q. grill some taters, two homemade burgers with bacon and we had a very satisfying supper.
Sure hit the spot after a busy day
So nice to meet fellow bloggers, and run into friends all in one day AND all at the same time. Now how cool, and confusing is that all at once? Next time we see Terry and Jerry lets see if they can remember everyones name, I know I won't. One thing about meeting fellow bloggers that we have followed for a few years it almost feels like meeting old friends. But we have never met in person before, such a wonderful feeling.
We having such great weather and almost too much fun here in the desert, sure do love it here. But are glad not every one can do this, would not be enough room.
Visiting Quartzsite is an experience that you can not even begin to appreciate in a day or two. Need to immerse yourself into it to really know what's going on.
Thanks for stopping by here and joining in our Q adventure. Sun, fun, friends, good times and great food, we have it all.

  6. I am really enjoying your Quartzite posts. I know folks really love it and you explain why very well. I almost would brave all those crowds for Oofos if they were the right price. Who knew?! I didn't see anything like that last week when I was there...just baseball caps and the Gem World which was rather amazing. I have camped at La Posa, but it was pretty quiet when I was there, but I wasn't a blogger at the time either.

    2. It might help if you gave her the brand name. We have one that is similar but not here with us so I can't help out.

    3. Don't know the brand name, no labels on it anymore and bought it in 2006 when we got the tow bar at a dealer in Ontario.

  10. That trolley sounds like a great idea. Especially when the Big Tent opens up. The parking can be a nightmare.

Terry and Jeri are great people. You will love Jeri's sense of humor. Enjoy.
