Where are we today ?
We have been dry camping in the desert for 28 days so far and have had awesome sunny weather, no rain and very little wind. Today its still very warm but now pretty windy. 21 mph (33kph) from the south. Not cold at all but in the desert that brings dust, big dust. Glad we are not travelling in it today. So think we have done pretty well so far this winter (except for the bad ice storm back on Dec 4th in Midland Texas where we were stranded in a Walmart parking lot for three nights).
Just need to keep our windows closed on the south side of our coach, to help keep some of the dust out.
A nice thing about waking up early is we get to enjoy some magnificent desert sunrises and most mornings it does not disappoint us.
After an early morning cruise came back to see that are almost all alone. Most every body has gone. No problem kinda nice and quiet here.
Nothing on the agenda today, just hanging out, and decided a quick trip to the Oasis Book Store to see if Paul has any deals and a couple of books, Suzie is trying to locate for her father. We did find 4 books at a good price but not the ones needed for her dad. The search will continue at other places. Oh,of course Paul was there in all his naked glory, hat, sandals and a knitted sack covering his privates.

can't miss Paul when you arrive |

Suzie looks for deals |
|
lots of books to choose from |
Left here and the dust storm down main street was blowing pretty good.
Drove by the big tent and they are taking it down until next year.
|
vendors gone and tent coming down |
|
afternoon clouds |
We sat outside reading for a while 80 f but the south west wind made made it feel pretty cool, guess we have gotten spoiled with the Arizona sunshine.
So supper tonight was some leftover turkey we had in our freezer, to make a hot turkey sandwich with gravy, whipped potatoes and cauliflower and corn. Sure hit the spot today. A bit windy to fire up our Weber Q tonight.
|
sure hit the spot for a change |
Then we got to enjoy a nice sunset that we thought was not going to happen tonight.
Sure do love this dry camping here in the desert, great sunrises and sunsets. And with most everybody gone so quiet and peaceful here.
Wanna thank ya'll for dropping on by for a peak again. Keep warm wherever you are!
