Where are we today ?

Very mild last night and at 5 am 60F (15C) sun coming up and today is going to be an awesome day. Sunshine to start then a short rain shower, and I headed out for a nice walkabout just after 7am got my first mile in. This being Sunday of the holiday weekend and my Birthday is actually Tomorrow May 20th. I had planned a surprise birthday party for me, well I planned it but surprised I lived to be 70 years old, wow ! Nothing fancy just some cake and ice cream with a few friends here ar Rock Glen resort. Who to invite? hmm , Well I picked up a cake for about 20-30 people and that was it. The problem is we know most of the people here in this campground and did not know who all would be here. well over 100.... Ya know all of Canada gets to celebrate tomorrow for my birthday, the holiday Monday, heck I sure am glad that y'all will enjoy this holiday for me.

This morning at 9 am we headed to the
Pinery Flea Market in Grand Bend again, we were there last Sunday, you can check that posting
HERE I took a lot of pictures, but rushed through as it was so chilly. Gotta get there early as usual this being the first long weekend of the summer it will be very busy and lots more vendors as well.

Back home by 10:30 a light lunch then I picked up some ice-cream for this afternoon at Gerry and Melindas. We headed over at 1:30 to get things together for 2 pm. Ok 2 Pm we had a major downpour of rain. Nobody else here yet so inside their sunroom.

The rain stopped, sun came out and our friends began to arrive, Turned out pretty good weather for a just long enough . Temps into the high 70's F feels like 88F so humid.

Soon I got my cake and ice-cream out to share with our friends as they arrived.

Now just before 4 pm the winds picked up and skies clouded over, time for everyone to head home before the downpour and higher winds.

We got home without getting wet, preheated our Weber Q made up a salad and grilled a nice pork tenderloin to a perfect 145F. about 15-20 minutes.

What a fun day and shared my first birthday celebration with some good friends here , Cake and ice cream and a sunny 90 minutes just enough time to chat with everyone.
Not gonna see a sunset tonight I am sure, more storms and wind coming. No matter we had a wonderful day already. Now to relax for the evening and then party on tomorrow, just because I can!
