The weather came as predicted, so we hunker down and make the best of it. And take a few minutes to back up my Blog.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Rained off and on overnight and was 38F at 5 am. Overcast and cloudy all day as the temperature is dropping. So this morning I started a large pot of Hurst's Ham Been soup about 8 am boiling with the hambone from last nights supper. A good day for homemade soup.
love this soup mix only available in the USA
we stocked up
Sandy has a nice large pot for this soup
While this was simmering away I whipped in to New Hamburg for a few items, before the freezing rain starts. And I guess everyone else thought the same. The large No Frills grocery store there at 8:30 this morning, almost every cashier open and 3-4 overfull carts at each one, and everyone talking about the ice storm coming. It took a while but I was in no hurry.
Back home by 10 to finish off the soup and decided while I was in the kitchen anyway may as well bake a package of cinnamon rolls to nibble on and share, quite tasty they were. We enjoyed a bowl of soup for lunch and a tasty warm cinnamon bun, then home for the afternoon.
a nice large soup pot
very tasty and lots more
I picked up these to try when we were in Ohio and made a very tasty snack for a very good price.
these turned out wonderful
By 11 am the freezing rain had begun and while looking out the Kitchen window Suzie and Dennis saw a  large tree branch fall onto the roof of one of their sheds. Their clothes line is attached to that tree as well so they whipped outside to take the clothes line down , at least no laundry on it.
tree branch into the shed, glad it was not our coach
right above the swing set it was where it broke off
Now because of the freezing rain, sleet and 25 mph winds hitting the drivers side of our coach we decided to pull in the slide, this makes our coach warmer, less drafts around the open slide, and helps to prevent the freezing of the water lines that go out there for our kitchen. The temperature around -3 C (26F) with a wind chill -11 C (12F) not nice out there, no problem we are toasty inside.
slide is in and much warmer now
looking south from here, pretty much a white out
glad we are not going anywhere
yes nasty out there
soon it will be nicer, right?
 icicles on our coach
Soon time for supper, so I preheat the oven (for extra heat)  and baked a couple of chicken cordon Blue that I picked up in Ohio. Simple, easy and tasty, to go with our salad tonight.
sure not a spring day today
The chicken done in the oven for about 40 minutes and sure did the trick tonight.
Chicken Cordon blue and our salad, yummy
looking out the window covered in ice
Then about 6:30 I bundle up and walked down the road a bit, snow plow had been by earlier but the roads were still not great, Some snow on the roads and ice under as well, Sure glad we don;t need to be driving anywhere today.
these roads ae very slippery
There ya go in wonderful Ontario Canada, spring day (not !) but it is what it is just never know what kinda weather we will get at this time of year. We have bean pretty lucky most years bit guess the cards are not on out favor this year. Soon summer and the heat waves will be upon us yeah !
Thanks for stopping on by today, so nice to have you along.

Do you back-up your Blog ? And just more sunny weather here in the Q.

Where are we today ?
Do you back-up your Blog??? If it's on Blogger so easy to do. If it's on the internet it could just go away at any given time.
Prime example was last night after writing  my Blog I went to post it and got this message below!
Our blog was gone! Poof just like that. I tried to access any of my over 2,200 postings every one I have written in the last 10 years, no go.
I tried a few things but nada.. Suzie tried to access from her computer same message, no poof ! Well shut down for the night something for another day. Luckily I have backed up my blog a few times over the years recently about a month ago.
It is so easy to do too, check the picture below.

This morning I got up fired up my Mac and voila, me Blog came back !! So after a happy dance I settled down and backed it up again. Just like backing up your computer it is not if it will crash it is a matter of when and ya never know.
I found out from Rick Doyle that it was a google server issue and quickly resolved. Thank goodness! Thank Rick.
Now this morning we had another wonderful sunrise. And saw the 1/4 moon and Venus just below it, Thanks for the info Al!
Nice early walkabout for a couple miles here in the desert so peaceful it is.
hey thats me I am so tall here , love it
Then a cruise in and around town, stopped by Discount solar for a quote on another solar panel, good prices there but for the price we can put a lot of fuel in our genny for a few more years if needed. So far we can get by with our one panel and no genny needed. Batteries fully charged by 2 pm today, even with a bit of cloud cover off an on.
Suzie ready to explore a few spots in town. First stop K&B tools. quick look and I will be back again. Then she wandered across and found 2 beautiful sweat shirts she has been looking only $8.00 each. Now remember Suzie hates shopping, in and out in no time flat.
Then we checked out the clearance food and stuff, picked up a few great deals here.
Couple more vendors with deals but I will be back for a few things. Suzie does not like to shop right?
I will be back for some drill bits
Home for lunch, take a new pick of us for the header and enjoy this wonderful sunny warm day.
this be our garden

E - readers and warm weather  no neighbors close and pretty quiet too what not to
love about that?

Gotta whip up supper (that's my job) pan fried Tilapia and a salad sure did the trick tonight. Suzie does the dishes she loves this boon docking. paper plates plastic utensils and food cooked on the BBQ. Hmm whats not to like about that?
    then another desert sunset
now can you beat this weather?
    we love it
Now we just hanging out here having too much fun, taking it easy, thanks for coming by again, nice to see ya.
