Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Not a lot going on today, other than a hole mess of Square Dancers setting up here in the park probably 30 or more rigs. They have come here for a few years and do a lot of square dancing and stuff, that we can watch if we wish.Did get a few nice walkabouts the park early today and and a load of laundry done. Chat with a few people here and there. But the big excitement was a Fawn (young deer) wandering through the campground and even across our patio !
I was wandering about but Suzie got a few pic before I came back |
John trying to give it some water |
over by the fence line |
hey you looking at me? |
Ron had a carrot to feed the fawn and he had a couple of nibbles |
Ron gave him a few hugs |
hope this fawn is ok here, and gets back home |
One of my morning walkabouts down by the orchard that is full with the square dancing group and a few more around the park.
Chatting with a few people here and there as they arrive, and some wonderful quiet reading time in the afternoon sunshine. For a while very warm and shorts weather then clouds came back in for a bit. Ok we will take what we can get.Again about 3:30 Happy Hour and chat with a few friends just flapping our gums for a while and sharing tips, travels and stories . Always nice for a while to catch up.
Then time to whip up supper, made a tasty salad a grilled a couple of fish burgers in our grill mat. Just like the fillet of fish from McD's and what I served in my restaurant years ago. Served on a whole wheat toasted English muffin with cheese slices, tomato, lettuce and mayo.
perfect on the grill mat |
sure hit the spot tonight |
Finished with our blog and time to post now after an interesting and fun warm spring day.
Thank y'all for stopping on by.
Where have we been this summer ?
Just curious, do you make your own fish burger patties? I've made salmon patties and tuna patties and looked for a recipe you might have for fish patties, but didn't find one.
ReplyDeleteNo Jerry, sorry this I but I pick these up int the frozen fish section, very reasonable and tasty
DeleteAmazing that the fawn would let a human being get so close. I love to watch square dancing and clogging. Don't do it myself, but sure enjoy watching it.
ReplyDeleteIt was amazing to see the fawn just wander slowly through the park with everyone watching and Ron being able to pet it.
DeleteWhat a beautiful fawn and to let Ron get close enough for Ron to pet it is amazing. I hope she is okay and finds her home.
ReplyDeleteI was so nice to see, but curious why it was no afraid of Ron and did not run.
DeleteI can bet that friendly fawn created plenty of excitement
