East meets west. Like ships passing in the night.

What do we have here? Another awesome day, whats not to love about this? Cool nights and warm sunny day. Mind you we had winds shortly after noon about  30 mph (50 kph) But it is dry, sunny and hot. The wind was a nice relief.
Morning walkabouts before it gets too hot and a quick trip to town for a few more supplies. Really love this area, small town USA.
nice desert flowers
Saw this older Cadillac at Walmart this morning, looks like new! Older couple came here to shop. Not sure of the year but is in amazing condition. Only in Arizona. It is a Fleetwood "Arizona Edition"
Arizona Edition,
that's me n the reflection
Then home to make up a pot of Turkey Chili for on supper the road, we have couple long travel days planned so this will do the trick, For the recipe click HERE or my recipe blog top right sidebar.
oh so tasty can hardly wait
Then lunch today, leftover Tuna steak for Suzie's lunch

Now we heard from friends that are heading north west  and stopping in here for a few days. They are from Alberta Canada. Last saw them in Quartzsite then they did a quick tour through Texas, New Orleans then heading back home. Nice to meet up with them again and they did come over for Happy Hour. Such a small world it is. So nice to meet up again. They just pulled in and got a nice site in the upper level.

Suzie got a doggie fix, when a neighbor stopped by to chat

Because it was so windy today (30 mph , 50 kph) we decided to cook a meal inside for a change. Suzie has been waiting for a day like this. Fettuccine Alfredo with Sea scallops and a salad. Sauted with onions, mushrooms and garlic.
Was so tasty and sure hit the spot,
no leftovers tonight
That was our wonderful last day here in Arizona. Heading out in the morning east and working our way north. through Texas. Supposed to be windy so not sure how far we will get, no reservations, that's the nice thing about this lifestyle. We just play it by ear. Plans are written in jello.
Thanks for stopping in for a visit, hope y'all had a wonderful day to!

  1. It has been windy today. Weatherman is telling us that most of the wind will disappear tomorrow. I hope that's true. You're right. You just never know who you're going to meet down the road.

    1. That is the beauty of this lifestyle, just never know who we will run into.
Hope the wind dies down, would be nice.

  2. The harder the wind blows the less driving you do. Better Safe than Sorry.
    Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. If we have shorter days that means more travel days it is still 2,200 miles home, we have the time.

  3. You need a kite! A relaxing way to spend a windy afternoon. I think your flower might be a Desert Marigold ... or not! I'm no botanist but we do have a lot of them! Safe Travels!

    1. No recipe Jan, just saute the scallops, onion, garlic and mushrooms, add some garlic alfredo sauce from a jar, and serve over fettuccini noodles. So easy.

    1. LOL,, it is rare no hat for me, But I just got in the car and they pulled in beside me. Take my hat off in the car. That's the reason.
