Moving east a little bit at a time, poor cow....

Where are we today ?
The early start is not hard for us, we are up way before sunrise anyway. Computing, coffee's walkabout and the coach secured car hooked up as well by 7:30 this morning heading on down the road. See ya later to our friend George.
love the desert sunrises
As we were leaving we have to go across a cattle guard. And we noticed this cattle beast had attempted to cross it. Poor guy had his 2 front legs stuck and could not move. Lorriane the BLM hostess was there to help us cross, nice lady. She has been here for years. Pretty spry and fulltime rv'er right on top of things. Looks good for 82 years old, from Pennsylvania  she is. Not sure this cow will be removed from his predicament hope the outcome is good.
this poor beast sure is stuck
We are only going 3 hours down the road to Benson but want to get our coach serviced at  the Super Lube Plus in Benson and they are closed at 1 pm in Saturday. Also closed Sunday and Monday and we want leave early Tuesday Morning. This is the place we like to service our coach they have been doing it since 2006  usually twice a year and do a  great job, reasonable too.
today's route nice quiet 2 lane highway,
and not much traffic, wonderful
nice quiet drive
Came across a few cool water towers here in the desert, had to take pics of them for me and Patsy too.
Benson Water tower
Arriving in Benson before 11 am plenty of time to service the coach. Done in good time, then down the road to fuel our coach. Gotta love the fuel prices this year.
Rv's and dune buggies  her in the desert
St David resort membership park now $5.00 a night
we can handle that
All set up and enjoy this wonderful weather. But they have an issue with sugar ants here (still) so into the Ace hardware in Benson for ant dust. Don't need more ant problems.
Love this area always see some cool old cars cruising around
The driver's door in the coach was not working, but after a few adjustments all is good. Also an issue with our right rear storage compartment, looks like we bottomed out somewhere, and again a few more adjustments and will be like new tomorrow. Just need a few more pop rivets. Always something to repair, the front window curtains need some new clips and and the living room bind needs to be restrung again. It's been a few years, glad we are here for a few days to get these things done.
compartment doors scraped on the bottom,
few adjustments will be good as new.
Now I did get a chance to read for a while before whipping up supper. Tonight a couple grilled salmon fillets to go with our salad was wonderful.
Missed the sunset because we are in the trees , but the weather is still wonderful, a bit cooler at 3,600 ft elevation but very comfortable low 80s  during the day. we will take it !
Glad that y'all dropped by for a visit hope you had an awesome day too!

  5. I'm thinking we saw you on the road and your times probably confirm that we did! We hope to get our RV serviced in Tucson. Finding a good place and availability is always a little difficult. I'm sure the cow is probably free and out roaming some more.

  7. I think the only way they will be able to help the cow would be to first sedate it.

Good luck with all of your repairs, nice to get it done in a timely fashion.

  8. Salmon in Az?..Good thing..I think that cow did not listen to his/her mom about the cattle crossing barricades...I've had trouble walking over them, my wife had to take her heels off as I remember....:)
