Colder and snow, but the sun was shining today, almost awesome !

Where are we today ?
Got up to early this morning with a whole mess of snow overnight. We were supposed to take(Suzie's Sister) Rose and Ross to the airport in Toronto early this morning but luckily they choose to go there last night and overnight in a hotel. We had big snow overnight and the predawn roads would not have been nice at all.
We had snow and much colder but sunshine makes it almost nice. Yes it does look pretty.
front yard
it was drifting a bit
But with this snow we have to shovel it. I did a bit this morning then trip to Plattsville garage , chat with the guys and back here before 9 am.
Bridge over the Nith River
some ice on the Nith
the country roads have been plowed
by the front door
snow plows have been in town
Dennis got the tractor to blow out
the laneway here
Ran a few errands then packed our bags and moved 15 minutes down the road to Rose and Ross's place in Tavistock. They gone back to their rental in Florida and we have a nice quiet place to relax.
Suzie reading
This driveway and huge shed is where we got married in July back in 1993, Sure brings back memories of a perfect day! Weddings on the back deck by the pool, pictures back in the woods. Pig Roast and prime rib, Suzie's Mom made all the salads, reception in the shed for 135 people and DJ for dancing. Even the pool for cooling down the kids and me too at the time.
Their son Reid was nice enough to
clear the snow for us
while they are gone
we can use this wonderful ride
They had thawed out a nice pork tenderloin a few days ago but did not have a chance to cook it. We were told the either cook it or throw in the dumpster. Now that was a no brainer. We love a lean pork tenderloin and they do have a huge Weber grill so why not?
wonderful BBQ area
Fire up the Weber and grill to perfection
145f internal temperature
Added a salad and was so tasty!
Thanks Rose and Ross
That was our day here, yep colder and snow but at least the sun was shining most of the day makes it much more bearable.
Thanks again for stopping by and hope you had sunshine too!

    1. That's the way we prefer it to but a little taste is just so we appreciate the south even more.

  3. Seeing the sun does help a wee bit. But it will be nice when you can get back to AZ. We may, just may, have some rain next week which would really be nice.

    1. Actually the sunshine really does make a difference.
A little rain there will help the desert flowers bloom.

  4. The snow is certainly beautiful - glad it is there and not here tho :) Camping this week with the grand-girls with the left coast is cooling rapidly ... but no snow! You look settled and the pork loin looks awesome!

  7. Just think all that snow will be gone by next week. I'll bet you'd still rather be out west.

    1. We would prefer not to master it, but we do what we have to do. The pork tenderloin is always wonderful.

  9. Brrr...that looks cold! You, describing where your wedding was in the summer of 1993 sounds so much nicer. Won't be long and you will be back in Arizona and the warmth and sunshine.

  11. I must admit that looking at snow covered landscapes while sitting here in the US southwest desert is a pleasant thing to do. Thanks for those photos.

  12. I'm back here in Buffalo also looking at the snow & feeling the cold. I'm flying out next Tuesday back to Tucson to pick up my new motorhome. I plan on spending a couple more weeks in the desert south so let's plan on meeting up again when you get back there. I'll email you also. Looking forward to seeing you both again. This time I will be officially joining the ranks of the RVers.

  13. Just catching up here, don't get on the blogs daily like Bill does but it is sure nice to see you settling in temporarily and doing what you have to do for a couple of weeks. How nice of Rose and Ross to let you use their place and wheels! The sun is definitely getting warmer here in this cold province! :)
