Wonderful time last night and a busy day again today.

Where are we today ?
New Hamburg Ontario Canada
Well last night we went to visit some very good friends that had invited us for supper. And hey the diversion was very welcome. Arriving late afternoon we had a chance to chat and catch up. A Happy hour beverage then he fired up his huge Weber BBQ to grill some amazing melt in your mouth steaks, Oh soo good! Sautéed some fresh mushrooms and and tasty Baby Bok Choy salad, a new taste sensation for us. I got the recipe and will be doing that salad in the near future. Now we don't eat much beef anymore but we do love it. It will take a day or two to get our systems back to normal, but the taste was sure worth it.
yep was amazing !
We had planned to stay the night just 'cause we could and then we could indulge in some adult beverages. Some cream Tequila we brought back from Mexico and sample their homemade wines. Of course conversation flowed until time for us to crash. No problem we were safe and sound here. Don't want to drink and drive.
This morning after more chatting and some coffees we headed back to New Hamburg. Got things organized here then while Suzie took her Dad to the hospital to visit her mom I had some projects to take care of. Made a small shelve for her dad, unassembled his office in the basement that will be moved to the spare room upstairs. Move the furniture from the spare room to their bedroom, and will set up the office in the spare room. Basically "Staging" the house to show and sell. Suzie working on de-cluttering as well too.
master bedroom looks good now
Got reports from Daughter number 2 about the hockey game in Plattsville this morning first game of the play-offs, they won 4-0 and grandson number 4 got 2 goals! Then she headed for the 2 and 1/2 hour drive to watch grandson number one in his tournament, 3 games today and they won 2 lost one, and he scored a couple of amazing goals in the process. Wish we could have been there but just too much on our plate right now.
My projects wound up and Suzie heading home I whipped up supper for us, catfish fillets on our Weber Q some grilled pepper, tomato and broccoli to add to our salad. sure worked for us.
yummy
That was it for today, slowly getting things done around here all it takes is time, and plugging away at it we will get it done.
Thanks for taking the time to stop on by again, love to have the visitors
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this past Winter.

  1. I'm always amazed... you two are definitely "our kind of people"... we drink... but don't drink and drive. Why put us and everyone else at risk? But... not only that... but the less beef thing... the salad stuff... yep! So much in common.... and while I'm happy that we're not in the snow belt, you guys take care of family.... and I so admire you for that. Take care... and happy QWeber Grilling!

  2. The bedroom looks very nice - love the furniture. I'm with you on the steak. I LOVE a really good Filet Mignon, and have one once or twice a year. Sometimes I think I enjoy it more because I have beef so seldom. Your fish looks delicious. :)

  3. Glad you enjoyed your night out without worrying about Drinking and Driving.
Soon the staging and purging will pay off and the house will be sold. Hopefully the closing won't happen until Spring arrives so you can move back into your home in warmer weather.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  4. Well, we had a big rib eye steak tonight. We split it and then still had some to bring home in our doggie bag. Of course, for us that'll be breakfast or lunch tomorrow.

    1. Sounds great, thats one reason I like to cook is I can portion our meals, cause if its on my plate I will eat it, then suffer later.
I used to have steak and eggs for breakfast, very tasty.

  6. The night out with friends was a nice break from the home staging business. All the best with the furniture moving and readying the house for listing.

  8. I'm thinking that's an old, old bed. I haven't seen that style since we left the farm back in the sixties.

  11. NIce night out! The decluttering takes forever but makes a huge difference. Dad still asks us to go get such and such from his 'office', except none of it is there anymore.
