Another flea market, good deals, warm weather, just another great day.

Where are we today ?
Hey its Sunday morning  and loving this real mild weather 62f at 5:30 am, amazing!  Windows open, fantastic fan open, yep life is good. Gonna cool down for a bit but we will take this weather as it comes.
This morning our plan is another flea market only about 1/2 hour away on the back roads.
First stop down the road at Love's fuel the car, cheapest gas we have seen so far this year. Works out to .72 cents a litre at 15 % exchange , what a deal!
gas price today at loves down the road
Took off shortly after 9 am to this Olde Security Flea market. Not fancy but is a flea market, lotsa good deals, used stuff, new stuff and very reasonable prices, compared to yesterday in Houston.
They have produce, and just about anything that you may or may not need or  want.
need a saddle for your horse?
Christmas decorations?
Boots, Cowboy boots?
guitars ?
appliances?
They have it all here, and very good prices as well. I found this short handle flexible ratchet I have been looking for only $5.00 compared to over $20.00 other places.
awesome deals here
Then we wandered inside and Suzie found a no glare screen protector for her I-pad mini only $12.00 another good deal.
This is a great market not fancy but again more fun,
 that we enjoy.
I forgot to mention that yesterday I found a deal 5 t-shirts for $10.00 (tax included) plain and colors too, or with Texas logos. So I picked up some souvenirs and new t shirts as well. 5 in 5 out, thats the deal in our house. Also found myself a pair of denim shorts here today only $1.00. and they fit perfect, all my other ones are falling off me, feels good to have some t-shirts and a pair of shorts that actually fit.
That was a fun morning for us and back home for lunch after a quick stop at Krogers in Willis for a few food stuffs and a fresh chicken for supper. Love the chicken prices here. 6 lb fresh chicken $6.70 . Too big for us and not frozen so I cut it up and froze 1/2 , the other half on our grill for supper. We will have leftovers too.
Putter around for a while, chat with our neighbors and enjoyed our e-readers outside, yep we love this weather.
Then to fire up our Weber Q 100  to grill this 1/2 chicken I quartered grilled yellow pepper, a fresh salad, a few fresh raspberries on the side.
Just another fun day here, doing what we enjoy in Texas.
Glad you stopped by again and hope your day was wonderful too.

  2. You found a better price for fuel than we've found by about 13 cents a gallon. Too bad we can't stock up on that stuff when we see it. Beware of all those markets. We usually end up with stuff we really don't need.

    1. The best price we found for gas too, it would be nice to stock up, We have the rule in our house one in one out, we very seldom buy things we don't really need unless it is consumable.

    2. Great price ...yet hoping it will drop down more and more and even more. I remember Sept. 1973 when the hi-test was $.23 9/10 a gallon. Ah, the good ol' days.

I delight looking at you plates of food. Artistic they are. You two eat very well.

Unable to walk now, so I don't go to flea markets anymore. Good thing too, as not an inch of space left to hoard Stuff; doggone it.

  7. It really is fun to be able to sit outside and enjoy this gorgeous weather. We haven't made it to the Mesa Swap meet yet this year. I'm almost afraid to turn us loose in there.

  8. A good deal on fuel prices! And you did well at the flea market too. Good idea to remove an equal amount of clothing from the MH when introducing new stuff.

  9. Looks like that place has a little of everything, including some nice produce. I wear little else but Tee Shirts and since I always ruin them before I wear them out, the $2 versions sound just right.
