Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August. 2006
The day starts off cool, overcast and windy. But no matter, its mother's day and we are going visiting. We leave home at 8:00am heading east to Cassel Mennonite Church to surprise Suzie's mother and Grandmother (94 yrs old) at the 75th anniversary for their congregation. This has been a whole weekend celebration with a full house and lots of activities. Also special was the fact that Suzie's Gramma was given special recognition for being the only surviving charter member, a very great accomplishment.
After the services and announcements we drove to my mother's house in Waterloo where I cooked a meatloaf and mashed potatoes that I had prepared the day before, including veggies and gravy and an apple pie and salad supplied by mom. So here we had a nice home cooked meal with my sister and brother-inlaw, just missing our brother and his wife, who had to work.

Around 4:00 pm we all headed back home, us 1-1/2 hrs west and my sister 2 hrs east. We arrived home at 5:30 after exploring some new back roads, to lovely sunshine, no wind and warm temperatures. Relaxed reading for a bit and a movie. Another great day !
