Where are we today ?

Kinda of a cooler overcast day but we can deal with that, not too windy at least. Few morning walkabouts to get the blood flowing.
Checked with Rob (VP of Rock glen Resort) here in the office and he said they will likely install our new awning this morning once the drizzle lets up a bit. If you have followed our blog for a while you will have read that we had a major wind gust back on May 14th, and it did a huge number on our coaches awning, yep it was toast ! That posting is HERE. After calling our insurance company they said we could get a quote where we liked and submit it. Talking to Rob the VB here at Rock Glen Resort he said he could help us out and give a quote. Submitted to Wayfarer Insurance and it was approved. Very expensive, a 20 foot acrylic awning the same as our original, Installed on site. Rob ordered it in and was here when we came back last week. Today was the day to do the install.
I had prepped the coach a bit by removing the old one before and installing the new lower brackets and center support. Shortly after 11 am today Rob and 2 helpers came out with this huge awning and was completely installed and operational in about 45 minutes. He really knows what he is doing it went so slick. And was covered by insurance. Now how is that for help from a campground VP ?

I puttered around a bit after lunch, installed our new CB antenna I picked up last week, it would have been in the way for the awning install.
Then talked with our new neighbors and were invited over to meet them and chat for a bit (Happy Hour) What a nice couple, mind you there is not many rv'ers that are not nice and friendly.

Now it's time for supper, fire up our Weber Q and let it preheat while I made a salad and grilled a couple tender bone-in pork chops for a very tasty supper.

| Yep was yummy |
Then afterwards we enjoyed the fresh outside evening air, reading and blogging in the warm sunshine until almost 8:30pm. What's not to like about that.
Glad you stopped by and hope you enjoyed your day as much as we did our productive one.
