Relocating to Camp Awesome in Plattsville for a bit, and Live writer update.

Where are we today ?
Now another wonderful warm night and very nice warm morning. Just putter around take our time no rush, we moving out and heading to "Camp Awesome" in Plattsville. Only 90 minutes down the back country roads. Ran into a detour so we just followed the signs and explored some new scenery= very nice!
Love exploring these back country roads
all set up again at Camp Awesome
just look at the view, it is amazing
Arrived in Plattsville about noon and we started to set up then, a bite for lunch. Suzie whipped over to New Hamburg visit her Mom then back here about 2 o'clock. Headed down to the funeral home here in town to pay our respects to a long time acquaintance here in town. Have know Gord Jackson and his wife June for over 25 years and always glad to see them. They were regulars in our Restaurant and his daughter Pat had worked for me for quite a  while. She has been living In Alberta for a while now back in the area lately to help out with family issues. For many years in my restaurant the Jacksons came in, especially in the fall when deer hunting season was on here. I had anywhere from 20 -30 on these hungry hunters in for lunch then and very often over the years. Lots of great memories! He will be missed!
Then we back home to relax for a bit in the shade, reflect on the visitation, read a while on another wonderful hot day, until the clouds and rain arrived around 4:30pm. Temp dropped from 80F to 65 f real quick but still not to bad.
Time for supper anyway, tonight a couple Turkey Burgers from Hayter's with Spinach and Cranberry, very tasty and healthy too, for burgers.
As usual added a large salad and we had a very satisfying meal.
That was our busy day, then tonight to the church in town and enjoy a concert with some family members in it, will be fun.
Thanks for taking the time give us a read and hope you day was a great one too.

Apparently a lot of Bloggers use Windows Live Writer for posting their Blogs ( I don't) and they have been upset with the issues. I have been keeping track of Rick Doyle's Postings. He is keeping everyone up to date as much as he can find out, if you do not follow his Blog you can click HERE and read some more. Thanks Rick.
Check out  the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.

  2. Enjoy your time in Plattsville. Those turkey burgers look really yummy - I wish we could get them here in the United States. It seems everyone is "freaking out" over Live Writer - I hope the issue gets resolved soon...

    1. I really don't understand about the big deal with live writer, have never used it and Blogger has worked seamlessly for me since 2006 and more than 2000 postings.
We try to stalk up some with the turkey burgers when we head south

  4. Since you've said you get the urge to move from place to place, I'm wondering if you ever go tour other parts of Canada other than right around where you are - I know fuel can be pretty expensive, but it's such a beautiful country.

    1. Yes Larry we have been to the east Coast many times and out to west coast years ago, But we need to stay in Ontario (our home province) for 5 months a year to receive our health care. Then 6 months south in a warmer climate for the winter.
Plus we have been staying around mostly to healp out our aging parents and visit our young Grandchildren.
I all goes well we hope to travel across Canada to the west coast and south from there, later this summer we are keeping our fingers crossed.

    2. I knew you had to be in Canada for half the year, but didn't realize you were restricted to a province as well. I have this great desire to visit the maritime provinces and the western mountain areas.

    1. The only place we have found them is Hayter's Turkey farm a family run operation in Dashwood Ontario. Come camping here and you can stock up :<) !
