Busy day and made a snow bear for ya!

Where are we today ?
Well watcha know it was very warm this morning almost a heat wave. It got up to 2 c (35F) And we are having snow showers. What's snow showers? A new term I never heard before, but guess this is a very light wet snow almost a mist.
Now this made the weather and the snow just perfect for making a snow man / bear. So there I actually made one all by myself, first time in a lot of years, haven't forgot how to do that.
This be for you Billy-Bob
no fancy decorations, this will have to do
This is what the snow showers did to the roads, glad its not freezing right away.
the road to Plattsville this morning
a very quiet Sunday morning country drive
Suzie and her dad went to visit her mom after church. I played with copying some of her Dad's slides with my digital camera. Did 90 slides and am working on enhancing them as much as possible.
After 3 pm I joined them at the Stratford Hospital for a while then we went to Swiss Chalet with her Aunt and Uncle afterwards. Her Dad's very favorite restaurant. Always love their chicken fresh cut fries and Swiss Chalet sauce.
appetizer Suzie and I shared, coconut shrimp, very tasty
my favorite 1/4 chicken, fresh cut fries and fresh baked bun
Then supper done and head back to New Hamburg, chat with the nice neighbor for a bit that was blowing the snow off the sidewalk for us and inside to relax a bit and post our blog.
Thanks again for checking in and ya know if you had of been here to help we could have made a whole mess of sand sculptures, maybe even a snow fort or igloo. But ya'll wanna be in the warm sunny south. Can't say I blame ya.

  1. Well how creative you are George. I have never seen a snowbear in all my years. Good job!

    1. Thanks Marsha. I didn't want to get in trouble with a snow man or woman so I figured a snow bear would be safe.

  2. Nice work with sculpting the snow bear. You will have to try your hand with sculpting a bear with sand in the desert next winter. Just add cooking oil to hold the sand together.

    1. Oil and sand sure sounds like a pretty messy job, thanks but I think this snow bear will have to do it.

  3. I've seen plenty of snowmen but never never a snowbear either. Looks like you're being able to stay inside and keeping warm most of the time. That's a good thing with all that snow around there.

    1. I figured a snow bear would could be politically correct and safe, instead of a man or woman. We do get out a few times a day , but not for long.

  8. Nice job on the bear - that above-freezing snow is perfect for creating things or a good snowball fight.

  9. I think I like snow bears more than snow angels.... those angels always made me too cold to make.

    1. Thanks Cindy.
Very tasty. I can do the chicken just like that on my Weber Q and can buy packages of sauce in the grocery stores here in Canada. We stovk up with it it when we head south.
