Cool, rainy, not a beach day, and met fellow bloggers what a wonderful day.

Where are we today ?
Well the good weather went away. Got up this morning and it's just plain cold outside. Not real bad like back home but just above freezing here is cold, especially for this time of year. But hey we have clothes that we can layer, heat in our house so no problem here.
Then again it rained pretty well all day just to make yukky even yukkier. No problem we are heading down to the Gulf Shores to the beach. HAHA.. not a beach day for sure.
But we are meeting up with Fellow Bloggers. We have followed each others blogs now for a few years. As they prepared to go fulltime, starting with their Casita, then a bigger travel trailer, that had some major issues now their  amazing 5th wheel trailer. We were so close and really wanted to check out their new house. So we kinda invited ourselves there. They offered coffee and pastries and we finally got to meet each other this morning. What a supper couple, still making their way as fulltime rvers and apparently enjoying every day (with a few hiccups along the way).  But that comes with the lifestyle. They post a blog occasionally cjcozygirl you might find it by clicking here.  We enjoyed non stop conversation sharing information about this amazing lifestyle. Of course I cannot shut up.
Mr. Jer and Carla
So with a nice visit finally meeting each other and not wanting to wear out our welcome, we proceeded to go to the beach, hmmm? Just cause we were here and so close. Stayed for about 3 minutes and made our way back home. Stopping at a couple places we wanted to check out.
really not a beach day, but we had to stop
After leaving the beach we spotted a Rouse's Market that we always enjoy in Louisiana, so stopped there to check them out a picked up 1/2 pound of  small fresh shrimp for supper.
We travelled up hwy 59 back towards home. We have done this route many times over the years and wanted to check things out. No hurry to get home, its cold and rainy. Passed by Lambert's Cafe (have been there a few times and caught the fresh made rolls they throw to you across the room) no need to go back for a while.
We had packed a turkey sandwich for lunch if we got hungry ,(just c'ause we prefer that) trying to avoid restaurants and fast food places.
Stopped by the Coleman Outlet.
no deal's for us there
stopped by Camping world,
nothing jumped out at us here either
Now back home, toasty warm in our house, no outside reading today.  The shrimp we bought on the way home was for a tasty indoor meal, Fettucini Alfredo with garlic shrimp and a tasty salad hit the spot.
A tasty, comfort food meal tonight
All in all it was a great day, meeting fellow bloggers, (virtual friends) and putting real people's faces to these people is really cool. Thanks for your hospitality Carla and Jer.
Hope you had a decent day too and thanks for stopping by.

  3. Sounds like a great visit with friends.
Just by looking at your photo I can tell the beach a place not to be in this cold weather.

  8. I really do like the fact that we can meet up with old and new friends all across the country. You just never know who is around the next bend. I enjoyed your 3 minutes on the beach. That's about how long we stayed at the beach in Florida because it was so cold.
