Cold ? Yep. Sunshine yep. All is good here in Louisiana.

Where are we today ?
Temperature dropped last light but again we cozy warm. No tornadoes (good thing but we did have a lotta rain). This morning our patio was under water but eventually during the day it went away.
a tad damp here
At least today the sun was shining even though the temps never got above 45F with a very cold wind, we made the best of it.
I wandered over to Hammond to pick up a few supplies then back home for a light lunch. Fruit smoothie for me, Tuna sandwich for Suzie.
Then while the sunshine was nice a few walkabouts here, really enjoying the peace and quiet after all the weekend people went home. This is a huge campground and would be extremely busy in the summer.
about 80 cabins here to rent
They even have golf carts to rent our buy if you wish. Lotsa neat ones too. Not for us though, we do enjoy the walking exercise.
nice Mustang golf car
not cheap but some people don't care I guess
We had some leftover Alfredo Sauce in the fridge I looked for and alternative  meal to use it up without pasta.
Did not much feel like cooking outside on our Weber with the cool winds and wet patio so inside is a good alternative.
I came across with this great recipe here that I of course modified to suit us.  Chicken Parmesan Alfredo for the recipe click HERE if you wish, or my recipe blog on the right hand side bar.
so easy to do
And as usual added a tasty salad and really hit the spot. Definitely will do this one again.
Yes cold here but no matter much better than back home , none of that white stuff. And it will get warmer soon.
Glad you could stop by again, we still loving southern Louisiana.
Going down to 26f (-3c) tonight, so disconnect our water hose and we get to snuggle some more.

  2. That's too cold when you can't cook on your Webber, you should hurry to the south west.

  3. So far south and you still can't find heat. Time to drive westward for some southern Arizona/California heat. The cold snap affecting us too here in central Oregon. Nice days but on the cool side and evenings dipping down to -2.

  4. Might chilly indeed, we had to let loose of a little propane last night but I do see the sun coming up. Back in the mild temps in two days, not too hot, not too cold!! We powered through ribs and kraut last night :)

  5. You need to fire up that rig and head a little farther west. That's where the sun is.

  8. You need to go even further south, it is almost too hot here in Puerto Escondido!

$95 to rent a golf cart a day, wow that's seems pretty pricey! Walking is better anyhow and it's free. :-)
