Well finally we are on the road again, not going far but still going, love it! Heading to Goderich Ontario, to visit with some friends and celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

Looking out the window at John and Lea's this morning watching this squirrel running around with a huge black walnut looking for a place to bury it. This is a good sign that fall will soon be in the air.
Cruising the backcountry of southwestern Ontario
Now about noon we arrived in Goderich, grabbed a bite to eat and just drove about town in the Rv towing the car checking things out to see how much progress has been made rebuilding after the tornado struck here August 21st, 2011, almost one year ago. We just drove along the shoreline beside the boardwalk to the beach area. Not too busy today with a cool NW wind coming in off the lake, but there was still a few brave souls enjoying the sunshine, beach and sound of the pounding surf.

After our tour about town we headed over to Bill and Carol's and found a parking spot for our house behind there house and beside the cornfields and horses. We don't want to be late for the their 50th anniversary party tomorrow.
its a narrow path
We got set up and puttered around, chatted with Bill and another fulltimer couple Dick and Ray, we met in Rockport Texas. Bill got a fire going and a large cast iron kettle of water on for a feast of fresh corn.

They pulled a few steaks out of the freezer and onto the BBQ, a tossed salad and an impromptu supper for a few of us hanging around. Thanks guys it was awesome!
Just chatting a bit more, lotsa catching up to do. Its been about a year and a half since we got together last. But tomorrow will be a long day and we don't want to wear ourselves out tonight. So back thru the fence and say good night to our new horse neighbors.
Glad you could join us once again and came along for the ride. Have a great weekend!
