Mon. Oct. 25th 2010 to Alliance Ohio

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer, 

 since August 2006

      Monday morning and still warm and not yet raining. We are at Bill and Barb's in Clarence Centre NY and will be hitting the road after a very nice visit and some fresh toasted cinnamon bread for breakfast.

      On the road about 10:30 am around Buffalo and onto I-90 leaving New York and entering Pennsylvania.

      It was a pretty nice day for driving even with a bit of light rain, not too sunny and warm enough to wear shorts. A little while later we were over the State line into Ohio then headed south towards Alliance where our friends Janice and Laurie lived.

      Through some beautiful rolling hills and countryside we arrived in Alliance and parked in front of their house on the street and puttered around a bit until they got home from work.

      Well we chatted and chatted, catching up, comparing notes, (its been quite a few years) since they left Plattsville Ontario, where our kids went to school together and skated together and we belonged to the Optimist Club. 

      While doing this Laurie put together an awesome meal with a tasty fresh salad, fresh bread (homemade I think) vegetables, mouthwatering roast pork with sauerkraut, potatoes and gravy, and then we even managed to squeeze some chocolate cake in there for desert.

      After all this and catching up before we knew it, was way past our bedtime, but at least they had planned on going in late for work in the morning. So call it a night after what seemed like a very short enjoyable visit. But a at least we got together!
