A wonderful quiet day for Suzie's Birthday and lawn mowing for me.

      Today is actually Suzie's birthday and to her just another day, Still as young as always never getting older. We went for supper on Monday night was her request. She did what she enjoys today, Reading, a visit with her father and brother, while I mowed the lawn here.
    All settled back here at Camp awesome for a few days getting some things taken care of. We had a wonderful sleep last night so very dark and quiet here. I woke up at 6 am and was surprised I thought. Until I came into the kitchen and saw it was actually 5am. Oopps some how my clock was set an hour early. But thats' ok I like to be up that early anyway. Waiting for the sunrise and it did not disappoint.

               Just after 7 am took a nice walkabout town about 2 miles, and surprisingly I ran into and chatted with about 1/2 dozen people, when normally very seldom see any one.
      Then a quick trip to Oak Grove cheese in New Hamburg and order our winter supply 4lbs  of extra old white cheddar cheese (1/2 Lb packs) we enjoy plus another 5 lbs all vacuum sealed for friends in New York State we will see in October.
     Back home we enjoyed a light tasty lunch then with this wonderful sunny warm day 74F I hopped on the mower to mow more of the yard here, I am thinking for my last time this year.

guess I out grew out of it, lol.

      When she got home about 3:30 pm I was done mowing and we enjoyed a nice Happy Hour before whipping up supper. Tonight her request for her birthday was grilled boneless chicken breasts and a salad. No problem I can do that.

       Now that was her birthday, low keyed as she likes it. and she did what she wanted to do today.
       Got things taken care of here and we enjoyed here Birthday the way she likes.

Today is all about Suzie and her special day.

          Cooler today but still pretty nice out. A few nice morning walkabouts enjoying the peace and quiet times here.
          Todays' posting is all about Suzie having a wonderful day on her birthday.  Phone calls from family and birthday wishes on facebook , over 80 so far, people in the campground wishing her happy birthday and even Gerry and John driving by this morning stopped their truck and sang Happy Birthday to her. Sure got a good smile out of her!
         Then about 11 am Suzie had a request for her birthday meal, lunch at Skeeter Barlows in Forest. They have a great menu that we really like. We enjoy it here and the same friendly waitress Courtney greeted us , took us to our favourite booth and even remembered our drink orders. She is such a wonderful server, so friendly and efficient. Sure a makes a good restaurant even better. Took a nice birthday picture of us and brought our appetizer. Seafood stuffed mushroom caps. wonderful !
Then our main course , 1/4 broasted chicken for Suzie with broasted potatoes, and 1/2 a broasted chicken dinner fo me with fries, both with steamed veggies, yum. We really do enjoy their broasted chicken here.  Took lots home too. can always use leftovers.

       Then when we were done Courtney brought out this wonderful hot fudge brownie with ice cream whipped cream and a cheery on top. NO Charge for her birthday, love it ! Oh my...

now this was amazing !

        That was the birthday meal that Suzie requested today and we both enjoyed it very much. Did come home with 2 pieces of chicken, broasted potatoes and lotsa veggies. Do love leftovers.

        Now I puttered around a bit cleaned up our Fry Daddy, (changed the oil) cleaned and lubed our tow bar, oiled some squeaky hinges. And a few walkabouts.

         Now to read outside for a while in the sun for a bit , but found it too hot, in the shade kinda chilly, hmm this is almost like Arizona desert weather in the winter.
         At 3 pm (Happy Hour time) Loree dropped in to wish Suzie Happy Birthday and bring Suzie a beer to celebrate also a Package of (Bubba's Shrimp Gumbo) she picked up for me to make for Suzie, and I will in a few day's Thanks Loree. Right behind her came Tucker leading the way for Melinda, and   a few minutes later Gerry joined us as well.

     A bit later Suzie headed inside to add a layer of clothes and Tucker was patiently waiting for her return.

       Tucker gets excited , he knows what;'s coming. As she came out the door we all sang Happy Birthday to her.

now he waits until she says OK, and like magic it disappears.

      Now after our wonderful filling lunch, no need for supper again. So we relaxed outside until about 7:30 then found it getting much to chilly, Inside we go, fall is in the air.

      Soon calling it a night maybe some popcorn, maybe not we will see.

      Suzie was quite happy with her day and got to do everything that she wanted at least I think she did.
