Vist Family , soccer game, and a rare kitty fix for Suzie.

   Again much cooler over night , a great sleep with windows open, At 5 am was 48 F outside, but warmed up nicely with the sunrise at 6 am. Did get a nice walkabout town shortly after the sunrise and chatted with a few friends along the way have not seen for a while, Nice to see people outside bright and early on the sunny summer days.
         About 8:30 did drive to Drumbo to watch grandson number 4 playing soccer. And a nice visit with daughter number 2 and a fix with our newest granddaughter number 3 as well.

      After the game we stopped by their house for a visit and a coffee, nice to catch up with them again.

     Soon time to say see ya later after a very nice visit and back home for a tasty lunch.

     Suzie's choice for lunch today was pea meal bacon, eggs and home fries, all done on the grill mat on our Weber Q.  I shredded a baked potato we had in the fridge for the home fries added onion and a few spices.

        After a quick run to New Hamburg for a few groceries. Back home to enjoy our e-readers and finish this very interesting book by Bill Clinton and James Patterson (the President is Missing) a very interesting and scary read. Fast paced page turner it is. I want to thank Croft Randle for sending this to me,  Suzie and I really both enjoyed it.

      My next book was one my son gave me for my Birthday. He had read it and immediately thought of me. It is a very good inspiring read on how to make money on the side,(legally) . This is a very informative book and inspiring read, sure giving me lots of great ideas ! Thanks for thinking of me Ken.  Always nice to have more money right?

     Soon time for supper and after our filling breakfast for lunch only a burger for supper tonight will do the trick,

    As I am getting ready to post this I noticed a new posting from The Furry Gnome, Season's in the Valley, glad to hear from him again and wishing him more progress in his recovery. You can click that link and wish him a speedy recovery as well if you like.

Where have we been this summer?

Great sunny Saturday, soccer game and why do I blog everyday ?

Where are we today ?

        First thing I need to say after chatting with daughter number 2 at the soccer game today. Why do I blog and take so many pictures all the time. My answers I thought were pretty simple, but she got a chuckle out of them. Number one I take pictures so that I can remember what we did all day. Sometimes nothing exciting but this way I can remember and then at the end of the day I can look at the pics and say yup thats what we did. and then I can write my blog post around the pictures, Plus I do add a few things that come to mind as well. Now If I did not do this every day it would be overwhelming.  I would loose my energy, forget what we did, and not even bother to post anything. The main thing is we can look  back on all the things we have done, places we have been and people we have met over the years. 11 years now full-time that is a lot of memories ! We actually go back quite a few times to check out things. Heck it is a journal, or diary on line, really works for us. And maybe someday when I can't remember my name we can go back and say hey I think that was us, did we really do that?

          Now back to today, not a bad night at all. Nice and cool, for sleeping, windows open and we slept till about 6:30 am today, that is almost unheard of for me !
         But the coffees' done and a walkabout town for a bit at 8 am, still nice and quiet with the mourning doves calling us.

          After a bit back home, we have the morning sun on our site under the willow trees is a perfect way to start an early day.

          Just after 9:15 am we hopped in the car for the short drive to Drumbo. Grandson number 4 is playing soccer at 9:30 and love to watch him play when we are in the area.

       We enjoyed an hour of great soccer here sitting in the shade then the sun. It is so great to see these guys having fun and enjoying it too.

            Ok that was a fun morning so home for a light lunch and I whipped into New Hamburg. for a few supplies and get a prescription filled. While I was gone Suzie dusted  and polished our coach inside NO VACUUMING yup I think she loves our new floor., Swiffer dust and swiffer wash the floor in no time flat ! Wow it looks and smells so clean now!

Now we have a bit of time to enjoy our e-readers

          Got some good reading done for a while then I get restless and it's getting pretty warm 85f (29C) at 3 pm. So I can go and enjoy this refreshing pool here. Why not nobody else around right now? Maybe later. But is quiet right now.
         Read a bit more then soon time to whip up supper. Tonight a couple of Hayter's Turkey Burgers with Onion and Parsley that we love. Along with that I grilled a couple of slices of turkey bacon to go with them on an English muffin.

        Now supper done, dishes done and we can enjoy more of this wonderful weather outside in the shade. Post this blog and read a bit more until we decide to call it a night usually around 9 pm we can head inside.

Where have we been this summer ?

Peaceful day , great weather, swim in the pool and a soccer game, a pretty perfect day.

       More perfect weather today, so peaceful here this morning just watching the sunrise and listening to the mourning doves cooing. Did get a nice early morning walkabout town , stopped by the garage for a couple minutes then back home before 9 am feeling refreshed and ready to go.
       Want to mow a bit of lawn but still too damp from the morning dew. So a quick trip to New Hamburg for a few supplies then home for a light early lunch.
       Some more walkabouts here just enjoying the sunshine and the peace and quiet.

      Now I can hop on the mower and cut some lawn. maybe about 1/3 of the 5 acres needs to be done right now so about an hour and I have that out of the way.

         After mowing the lawn I relaxed for a few minutes but heck it was 85 f and the pool is so quiet and lonely, so off I went for a wonderful refreshing dip just to keep it company. Gotta love it when I have the whole pool to myself. Again so relaxing.

        Then soon time to whip up supper. Tonight grill a couple of split chicken breasts to go with our tasty salad.

      Now there ya  go we had a fun day here, enjoying the great weather, good company, good food and fun time with the kids. What more can we ask?
     Still outside now reading and posting this blog, on another excellent summer evening. Shirts t -shirts and sandals and almost 9 pm  This sure is the life.
