        Gotta love this warmer weather, up early some walkabouts then into Holtville for the parade at 10 am. "Everybody loves a parade" especially when weather is nice about 74 f today and sunny, perfect!

       A nice walkabout here early morning a couple miles was wonderful.

        We have never been to the Carrot Festival parade before in all the years coming to this area, so this year worked out good for us, come on along and enjoy the day with us. We headed out at 9:30 into town followed the detours and secured spot one block from Main street.
       What a great parade it was too, small town stuff just the way we like it. Found a spot on main street next to the hardware store, (the Do It Center) they were giving out free popcorn so we indulged. While waiting for the parade to progress.

           The parade started on time at 10 am and wound down by 11:45. Lots of great bands a few floats from all over the area. was a fun time. But the relentless sun kinda wore us out. At least 70 different entries that we saw.

        Then we packed it up wandered about the Midway for a bit checking things out.

       We don't much do midways anymore but was nice to check it out. Now back to home dirt.
        On the ride home we discussed going to the party at the Ranch and because I was not feeling 100 %. Not sure why just kinda dragging today. Besides with the whole town going to be there, we  opted to stay home and relax in the shade this afternoon. Feeling kinda worn out and Suzie did not care one way or the other. We have been to the Ranch a couple times before and enjoyed it. Sure is an experience.

       Tom and Jan got back from the Ranch and brought their dog Cody over for a visit.

         Then time to whip up a bite to eat. Couple wonderful smoked pork chops we picked up at the Quartzsite Market, they are excellent!

      That was another great day in the desert for us and enjoyed the Carrot festival and very warm weather.

         A nice sunrise and warming up very nicely. 

         And that's great looks like we have a few fun things on the agenda. Shortly after 8:30 this morning a bunch of us piled in our cars and headed to El Centro for the 32nd annual Welcome Back Snowbirds Breakfast for anyone with an out of country drivers license, but did know there was people there out of state as well.

     There was a very long line but moved quickly and we were through and had our food in about 5 minutes or so.

      Usually we have had pancakes in the past but today biscuits w/sausage gravy and ham (not our favorite but was not too bad) Juice and coffee as well. Hey it was free and fun.

           Now back home before noon and it was very hot in the sun, so I donned my swimsuit and headed over to the Hot Springs for a hot shower (no soap) and soak in the Hot tub oh so good, nice and relaxing and refreshing.

        Now to relax for a while with our e-readers until 1:45. Time to head out to the Silvarado Ranch in Holtville to Celebrate Enriques 69th birthday. A great turn out, we took my Macaroni salad I made yesterday and many more dishes there as well. What a feast. Enrique and Elvera supplied rice, bean, beef and gravy, chips salsa and a great party place at their Ranch live entertainment and large dance floor.

Betty and Ron we met the other day

          Then about 4:30 they played "King of the Road" and "Good Night Irene" perfect cue for us to head out, cooling down  and will be dark soon. So said a few goodbyes and headed back home.

          We wanted get a few things done before dark,  store our Weber Q, lawn chairs and tables and check tire pressures, We heading back to Quartzsite in the morning, Got things to do there.
