Amazing weather, a fun day being outside in shorts again ! Checking out the town and previous postings for this area, Bicycle museum was amazing.

       A very warm night that we enjoyed with windows open and 47 f at 5 am outside. We cozy here after a good nights sleep.
      Nice early morning walkabouts enjoying the sunrise and fresh air, now this is perfect for this time of year, no complaints here. Glad we are spending a few days, just because we can.

Sunday morning early the pool is so peaceful, busier later
but will be quiet during the week.

    Still early and watching this Robin doing the "early bird catches the worm"  and yes he/she did.

        We took a drive around town leaving at 9 am . so peaceful here on a Sunday morning. Checking out the sights. Stopped at Walmart, Aldies and the local Community market grocery store  just cause we could just checking them out for specials. Nothing we needed quite yet but was a nice tour.
      Stopping at Aldies spotted this amazing trike ! A Boss Hoss.  A trike with a 57 chevy rear end , v-8 engine and 455 horsepower, WOW much  more than we have for our motorhome at 25,00o lbs. Now this would be a WILD RIDE ! for sure.

     Then cruise through town loving the old buildings that have been kept  up here.

            Suzie had a craving for an egg Mc Muffin so I whipped up a couple for our lunch. We have the stuff and much cheaper at home.

     More walkabouts checking out stuff here, a very nice resort, can imagine in the summer this place would be packed.

          Enjoying the wonderful sunny afternoon , clear blue skies and very warm.

         Then a few more walkabouts the park, and set into reading in the sun and shade it got to 76F (24C) and was wonderful. We did have a sw wind though but managed to shelter our selves from it most of the day.
       New neighbour pulled in  across from us and chatted for a while from Hamilton Ontario . After chatting for a bit we realized that we have met years ago . In Unadllia Georga and again in Benson Arizona. Such a small world it is !

            Eventually time to whip up  supper. Tonight a cornish hen that we love. Need to cook all our chicken before we cross the border.  So whipped up a salad. preheated our Weber Q 100 and set it on low to cook to perfection.

all done, crispy outside moist and tender inside 

we each had 1/2 of this hen. perfect portion 

     Now outside still enjoying this wonderful weather at 8 pm. still in shorts and in the high 60's f. almost feels like  summer. ! Posting the blog and reading Wow. this is amazing!
      We have been in this area a few times before and one thing we loved was a visit to the  Bicycle museum of America  that we visited 4 years ago yesterday when we were here. For that great posting just click HERE. It sure is an mazing place to visit we spent a few hours there. Nice that we can look back on the blog and enjoy it again.
      The day is winding down and soon time to head inside. After their wonderful sunset.

Where have we been this Winter

A few chores done and relax with this awesome weather while we can.

Where are we today ?

         Last night was very warm for here, about 60f overnight, widows open and quite comfortable for sleeping.  This morning not too bad either, sunshine, had some wind, about 20 mph but the clubhouse house blocked most of it. Was a wonderful day, temps in the mid 70's.

        Nice walkabouts chatting with various people here and there. Then got in a cleaning mode. Cleaned our fridge, coffee maker, captains chairs and dashboard, even change the oil in our Fry Daddy changed while we have the chance. Perfect weather for it, and even had time to enjoy our books outside for a couple hours. Now how awesome is that?

        We enjoy this membership park with the great weather and facilities, only $10. a night. The pool is a bit busy for the weekend but will quiet down tomorrow.

          Lots to see and do here, think we have done most of it over the past few years, not far away is the Neil Armstrong Space Museum in Wapakoneta Ohio and Airstream factory in Jackson Centre Click HERE to view my previous posting.

          Got our afternoon reading time in, and very quiet, where are parked. Just enjoying this great weather most of you are having too.
          A great day for another Weber Q moment, grill a couple Pork Burgers w/bacon we picked up at the Swiss Sausage and Meat Co. the other day.

         Also fire up our Fry daddy to add some fresh cut fries to the mix. Sure took care of another craving we had.

         Love this warm springtime weather, can still read outside after supper until almost 8pm (in shorts too!). We will enjoy it while we can because we just know another cold front is coming this way soon.

A vist to the Bicycle Museum of America.

Where are we today ?

        Very mild again this morning and walkabouts after coffee's and computing, but its kinda overcast. Just as the forecast told us. But no problem we have a plan.

        Today we taking a short drive to New Bremen Ohio and check out the Bicycle Museum of America we were not sure what to expect but sounds interesting. Had an early lunch and headed out about 10.45 am suppose to open at 11 am, only a twenty minute drive to the small town. Took a lot of pictures and only posted a few (too many I think) but so interesting I just had to share.

         We enter the museum and paid our $2.00 admission fee (for seniors) that is actually donated to town for local improvements.

         A short orientation and 15 minute video then we were directed to begin our tour. Mostly guided from the very helpful staff to fill in a lot of blanks and interesting information.

          This collection here they have over 300 bicycles on display dating from 1816 to present day. and have another 800 bicycles in storage. They do not have enough space to display everything here but do rotate the displays. And were told they are attending auctions purchasing more bicycles.

         And we found out this collection is owned by Crown Equipment here in New Bremen.

        Now left here after more than two hours of enjoying the history of these bicycles and drove some back roads thru St, Marys back to our camp at Wapakoneta.

        Now back home and very still very warm, over 70 f but very windy. Saw a couple from Ontario we knew (Peter and Anne from Belleville), chatted with them for a bit and another couple (Bev and I from Brantford) chatted with them too. Even the people next to us from Mount Forest Ontario, such a small world, everybody heading back home after a great winter down south.

        Wanna do supper on our Weber Q 100 agaoin tonight biut its kinda windy. So I improvise, tilt the picnic table for a windshield and fired up our Weber.

        Tonight we are gonna try some potatoes in foil with bacon and Ranch Salad Dressing mix (Thanks to Barb's posting on facebook). and grill some chicken thighs.

         So there a long posting and way too many pictures ut thats what we did.

         This Museum is a fun and interesting visit for anyone, well worth the stop.
