Where are we today ?

Milder again 51F at 5 am gonna be another nice spring day. But a chilly north wind and overcast for most of the morning. So I did not do my walkabout just hopped in the car about 7:30 and headed 10 miles down the road to Gainsville Texas for a few groceries.

Just after 10 am we headed over to the
Winstar Casino about 2 miles from here. The worlds largest apparently. Entered at the south end and walked through all the different countries. Starting in Rio, New York, Cairo, Vienna, Paris, Beijing, Rome, Madrid then London. Nice way to tour these countries in a short time. Just walking through the inside is throughly amazing.The outside of these buildings is amazing too. If you did not see them check yesterday's posting for those pictures.

We entered here in Rio and spent about 35 minutes walking all the way to London. Love all these amazing structures along the way I took a lot of pictures but no wanting to use my flash some are not very good, but you kinda get the idea.

Food vendors everywhere and some amazing restaurants as well.

Statues and sculptures everywhere , and of course every Casino game you can imagine.
Then the hotel pool area but not a nice day for it. we turned around here and made our way back.

Our goal today was to stop for lunch at
Toby Keiths I love this Bar and Grill, they have catfish, and I have a craving, do love my catfish. Suzie thought maybe some slot play would be nice today so we each made a small donation for about 30 minutes of slot play. Toby Kieth's song here in the u tube

Love the decorations, 2 bars plus an upper level as well. A very friendly waitress we had very good service and good food, our waitress was also from Canada (Newfoundland).

For lunch Suzie ordered the chicken quesadilla that she enjoyed, took half of it home.
And I got my catfish fix, with coleslaw, tarter sauce and corn bread, I took none home...

We enjoyed this tasty lunch then made our way back to Rio and the parking lot for our car.

Now here we are back home by 1 pm and a whirlwind world tour, plus a tasty lunch. A fun 3 hours inside with a cloudy cool morning anyway outside here. Checked our walk through the casino was 1.5 miles all together.
Back home still overcast puttered around for a while and another nice walkabout 3 miles done today.
Then all of a sudden at 2 pm the skies cleared, wind went away sun came out and got to a very nice warm 70F. Shorts on and we got to enjoy a few hours enjoying our page turners. No need to stop for supper, we fed up from lunch. Finally at 7 Pm I finished my book and we headed inside as the sun was setting. Now this was a wonderful first day of spring. Yahoo !!!
