HAPPY NEW YEAR

Boy did I get a good sleep l last night not sure if it was change in the meds or what but did sleep until 8:30 this morning! Well rested for sure. I was late to visit Michael in the kitchen so he brought me my breakfast. My they sure do spoil me here. Suzie got here 10 and we enjoyed a light lunch together and a New Year ever together. She even packed a bag so she can sleep over. We can welcome in 2020 together. Maybe a bit earlier than midnight but at least we can welcome the new year both in one place together. Now another change in my Meds to get off the needle for pain control.

We ordered supper tonight from Montanas steak house in town. Mainly because we have a lot of prepaid coupons for meals from there   and a few other places as well her in town. I ordered  a small Caesar salad fries Baked beans and fall off the bone ribs with Chipotle BBQ Sauce. The doctor had brought in some CBD medical marijuana (Legal in Canada), for me to try and get my system used to it and get off the morphine. Take care of the pain and help me sleep.  It has good reviews so will give this a shot. Slowly get the pain controlled in my system. Now a relaxing evening together watching a bit of TV something we have not done for a couple of months. We sure do miss then times together whether it be here or it be here or anyplace being together is something we both really enjoy.

HAPPY NEW YEAR !

      Well here it is the last day of 2017, enjoying this warm dry mostly sunny weather in southern California. Another wonderful colourful sunrise that makes a great start.

                After morning coffees and computing and a short walkabout I headed into Yuma at 7:45 for a few last minute groceries, nice to get this done before the stores get busy and traffic on the roads in town. Home shortly after 9 am Suzie had the laundry shorted so off I went to let the machines do their magic.  Nice laundry here only $1.25 to wash and the same to dry, Want to start the New year off with clean clothes and sheets on the bed. While I did this Suzie swept and mopped the new floors in our house.

         Laundry all done and wrapped up so we could enjoy a light lunch at 12 noon. After lunch I did a quick drive down the road to check out the Imperial sand dunes and as I expected the place is packed. Lots of people out there on their sand rails, dune buggies and atvs, even the little ones having fun on them as well.

     Did get to do a bit of reading outside then about 2:30 fellow Bloggers Tom and Deb (Celebrating the Dance )arrived for a visit at Bill and Patsy's   We met Tom and Deb 2 years ago at Blogger Fest and follow each others blogs. Nice to see them again. Then Bill and Dee with Doug the Pug arrived to join us as well. Heck here we are all bloggers and Rv'ers 2 couples from Canada and 2 couples from the United States. What do we have in common? Rving and blogging all of us loving this lifestyle and all of us here to get away from the cold snowy weather up north, to the sunny warm desert days here in the southwest.
      And we shared stories flapped our gums and before we knew it was 5:30 Wow that was a long fun happy hour ! Sometimes we just get carried away, time flies when we having fun. But what the heck what else do we have to do? It was cooling down,  we all retired to our homes to whip up supper.

     Then about 7 o'clock  we headed up to the clubhouse for the New years eve Karaoke. Joe tuns it and there was lots of people and quite a few new very good singers. Quite a few up beat songs, people were dancing , even us and quite a few duets.

    We managed to enjoy this until 9:30 but I was yawning and it was quite cool in there, so time to head on home. We back here just before 10 pm and got to welcome in the NEW Year with times square, The time zones make it easy for us to enjoy midnight at 10 pm! Past our bedtime, but we made  it.
     That was our final day of 2017 and hope y'all had a good one too.

         A few pics of last nights New Years Eve fun that we had. The Karaoke was wonderful so many great singers and the 3 hours we enjoyed with friends just flew on by. Stories, Jokes, lotsa laughs, dancing, snacks we had a ball.

      We toasted in the New Year with sparkling cider, and hugged and kissed everyone here, What a great time we had and a reasonable time for us old folks.We were home by 10:20 pm and in bed by 11, Arizona time, perfect !

      This morning I slept in until 5:15 am. Wow this is amazing, mind you we did not get to bed until  11 last night, unheard of for us !

      Had a bit of rain overnight again.  We have ever seen this much rain in the ten plus years we have been coming the southwest. But heck not a problem, sure beats the cold frost, snowy weather they having back home, Yup we love this.

            At 7 am I took some turkey bones from the freezer to boil for a tasty broth for soup. more Turkey noodle soup. (make room in  our freezer as well). End up with a huge pot to share with Melinda, Gerry, Patsy and  Bill , and still more for us as well.

        Then we enjoyed a very warm/hot sunny afternoon enjoying our e-readers and took a few minutes to clear up the headlights on our car and motorhome.

        Around 3:30 pm Happy Hour at Gerry and Melinda's in the warm sun with them, Bill ,Patsy us and Denis and Sandy, sharing more stories and a few laughs as well.

    That was the end off last year and the beginning of 2017, We all enjoyed this great time here with amazing weather.
