Happy Father's day, relocating, a nice lunch with Suzie's Dad, and a very nice warm day.

      Want to wish all the Father's out there a very Happy Father's Day

hope you enjoyed it I know I did.

       Our last sleep here at Rock Glen for a while and we both slept well. Up early a short walkabout then puttered around , storing our satellite dish. dump our sewage,.secure the coach and hook up the car. On the road by 9 am. Heading back to Plattsville again, earlier than planned but will work out better for us.

            Stopped at the Canadian Tire in Stratford to top up the gas in our coach, only $1.09 a litre , may as well when it is a good price. Then on to Plattsville arriving at 11:00 am A call from SIL Sandy that they are taking Suzie's Dad for lunch at the Swiss Chalet in Stratford for Father's Day (his favourite place). So we met up with them and enjoyed a very tasty lunch there just the 5 of us.
    Suzie ordered a Kale caesar salad to start that she shared with me plus a 1/4 chicken dark meat with baked potato that she enjoys.  I ordered the Sweet Heat salad with an tangy Thai sauce this is a very hearty, tasty salad with a boneless chicken breast, was wonderful.

          We were back home by 2 pm and finished setting up our satellite dish and enjoy some decent outside weather, Though overcast was a comfortable 67F. A few sprinkles of rain for a couple of minutes. so deployed our awning. no wind so was a perfect afternoon enjoying our e-readers.

        During the day I had received a test from Daughter number 2 this morning wishing me a happy Father's Day, then one from my son with a video of granddaughter #2 signing Happy Father's Day. then a phone call from daughter number 1. She has been busy with a house full of company but did fine time to give me a call as well. These three calls just made my Father's Day a pretty perfect one.

        That was our busy day just moving down the road again like we enjoy, and some pretty decent weather as well. Things to do tomorrow Suzie is taking her Dad for appointments in the morning and needs to leave here for 7:30 am, much easier than from Rock Glean leaving at 5:30 am.  Plus I can get things done to our car and coach and mow some lawn.

Relocating to Plattsville, a late Fathers' day meal and fun family time

        Last night after our blog was posted and we were  still outside reading about10 pm we had good  friends drop on by to chat for a while, Paul, Terry and Leslie. Younger people that want to do what we do when their kids get older. Always nice to chat with these guys, we have kept in touch for many years.
         After another wonderful sleep here at Rock Glen Resort, Got up early as usual and a few nice walkabouts, then soon time to secure our coach to hit the road again. Not too far to go just about a 90 minute drive to hang out in Plattsville at our friends John's we call camp awesome.

      Arrived in Plattsvile before noon and got all set up before we had any rain then a bite for lunch hit the spot.

      Not to relax this afternoon in the shade with a nice east wind, almost making it feel cold at 77 F

      About 4 pm got a text from daughter number 2 (she knows we are back in the area (to see if she could take us out for Supper tonight (a late Father's Day meal for me) Heck ya we can do that sure would be nice to see you guys again and enjoy a tasty meal together.
      So the Trails Edge in Plattsville is our favourite place to go when in town , just around the corner from here. They do have some awesome food.

        She made a reservation  for 5 pm and we met them there. Really nice to see them all again and get a chance to catch up.

          Then we did get our waitress to take pic of us all together again for  Father's Day, better late than never. Thanks so much guys, love you so much.

        Now Grandson number one wanted to try on my hat. And heck I think it looks pretty good on him. Perfect for his summer job working on the farm !

    Now here we are back home relaxing inside after a wonderful Father's day meal with daughter number 2 and our grands, Does it get much better than this? Think not, Thanks guys for the fun family time and and awesome meal.

Wedding fun, with good friends, and a Father's Day brunch with Suzie's Dad and siblings.

       This is now Saturday afternoon, and the party/wedding is about to commence. So we got changed , just because , no fancy clothes today this is a casual wedding, and a hot day, so lets be comfortable. Mind you we did clean up a bit.

        Now at 2 pm everyone here and the service is about to begin.

        The caterer has been here since noon and all set up , their Hors d'oeuvres  began and oh my what wonderful snacks they just keep on bringing out.

    And they just kept bringing these tasty snacks around for over 2 hours.  Amazing food.

    Eventually around 10 pm we called it a night, nice our home was right here, Right to bed and asleep with the band still playing. What a wonderful fun day, party, wedding food and  socializing

Sunday Father's Day

         Up again about 5:30 after a good nights sleep and the rooster crowing as he does every morning. A nice sunrise through the trees, chatted with  Bill and Chris on the deck with morning coffee for a bit, Puttered around for a while then got a nice walk down the road and back for my first mile in. Chat a bit more, worked on my pictures from yesterday and began this posting. Got a nice text and pictures  from daughter number 2 wishing me Happy Father's Day and wanted to know if we are around for supper. Thanks for the offer but we away and will be back in the area in a couple of weeks, They will take us out for supper then, works for us and them. Also a text and picture from my son and an email from daughter number one. Nice to hear from them all today !

       Another walkabout down by the sand pit and back. Then about 11 am we hopped in the car heading  an hours drive to Quehl's In Tavistock for a Father's Day brunch with Suzie's Dad. Also was Suzie's sister Rose, BIL Ross, Her Brother Dennis and SIL Sandy,

       They have a wonderful brunch here for Father's Day so much food again we indulged.

       I started with some bacon, scrambled eggs then spotted the pig tails! Oh yeah it has been a long time and I love pigtails. Ok That did it,  talk about too much food again!, Think we need to go hibernate, Rock Glen for a couple of weeks, lots of fish, salads and walking.

     We chatted with Bill and Chris for a while outside in the shade with a nice breeze in a very warm 93F day. Actually turn on our AC for a while to cool our coach down to a comfortable temperature before calling it a night and heading inside.

     There ya go another busy weekend we enjoyed with more family and friends, Thanks for joining us and hope you Dad's had a great Father's Day as well !
