Las Vegas Mar. 14, 2007

Where are we today ?
Las Vegas

Wed. Mar. 14
Another warm day so we get up and off to the strip at 8:00 am before it gets too hot. We parked our car in a free parking Garage at the Barbary Coast, corner of Flamingo and Las Vegas blvd. From there we took the overhead walkways to Caesar’s Palace and wandered about the fountains in to the Casino. Amazing the size of these places, we checked out a few areas of Caesars Palace and (not wanting to get lost) proceeded back outside towards The Mirage enjoying their gardens and outdoor pool area. From there we took a tram ride to Treasure Island checking out their outdoor displays of ships and atmosphere.
Across the walkway again through Wynns waterfalls towards The Venetian all the time enjoying the sights and sounds. The lobby of the Venetian has amazing painted ceilings in the lobby, from there we proceeded through the casino to the shops with an amazing ceiling painted there that you would swear was a real sky. In this area were canals with gondolas traveling and passengers being serenaded, very nice. Outside were more canals and gondolas.
Next to the Flamingo we enjoyed their Habitat with gardens, waterfalls and animals. Then on to Paris and the Eiffel Tower and beautiful fountains. And we did observe the monorail traveling behind some of the casinos on the strip. One of the most amazing things we noticed was the very high price of the meals, shows, and
merchandise in the shops on the strip.

By now (1:30pm) it was getting very busy and hot on the strip, time to return home to relax in the shade and go for a swim.
