Relocating abit further south and a tad warmer.

Where are we today ?
Well very cold last night down to 15 F at 6 am today but we still toasty, under the heavy covers and fire up our Mr. Heater first thing this morning. Kept furnace set at 60f so all is good here. Nice sunny morning and no wind today so really not too bad. Got walkabouts done, putter around outside to finish securing a few things and we are on the road by 8:40 am after saying see ya later to our friends Rob and Pat.
241 miles today
A perfect travelling day, not windy and it was sunny, not much traffic either, we took mostly back roads all day no interstates. Four lane highway for a bit and was all good for us. Just taking our time and enjoying being back on the road again.
We checked into the resort about 1:30 pm and were directed to our spacious site. Not a real busy campground, just the way we like it. And again no overnight fees , part of our ROD (Resorts of Distinction) membership. Think we will stay here for a week, relax after a long travel day again and maybe check out the area and enjoy some warmer weather over the next few days.
escorting us to our site
nice huge campsite
a view of the lake too
peace and quiet
After a walkabout we even got to enjoy our books in the sun for a while before time to fire up our Weber Q to grill a couple boneless chicken breast, and taters, throw them on a fresh bun, with tomato, lettuce, mayo and steamed broccoli on the side.
hit the spot
That was it for a nice travel day, and we can check out a new area for us, as we slowly make our way further south.
Now Rick Doyle found a wonderful gift for somebody like me that loves to BBQ, thanks for searching this out for me Rick!

Thanks for stopping on by and hope you are enjoying great weather wherever you are.

  2. The best place to be here right now is inside. The temp is at freezing and dropping. The wind is howling and cuts through you. Makes us look forward to heading south even more. Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  3. Love your blog!
Your Weber Q ideas and those of Rick Doyle encouraged Shelagh and I to buy a Weber Q also.
We look forward to becoming part of the wanderers some day...

    Cheers, Peter.

  5. Wait! Fifteen Fahrenheit? That's colder than here!
Our night time temperatures have been hovering around the freezing mark.
Something about that "ain't raight". Just thought I'd throw in some "southern jargon" there. You're welcome.

    1. Yep you said it "ain't raight", but getting much warmer for a while now, will enjoy it for sure.
At least none of that four letter word (S*&W).

  6. So glad you moved further south. You were having way too much of that cold and s word. We're going to have a cold front go through tomorrow with lots of wind and the highs are going to plummet down into the 70's.

  8. The branding iron is a cute idea. Your coach looks pretty lonely all by itself.

  9. That Rick is always looking out for us. Question: Can you get one with your own initials or do you have to settle for the one shown in the picture? ;c)

  10. You're eventually getting there now. Of course, that area isn't warm but at least you left the SNOW behind. Arizona is just around the next bend ... or two .. or three.
