Where are we today ?
Bear's Den Resort Grove Oklahoma
A very cold windy day here and a good day to visit Darryl Starbird's Hot Rod and Custom Car Museum about 10 minutes from the campground. They are normally closed at this time of year but a quick phone call and they will open up for us to view the cars, perfect! Suzie and Pat did not want to go so left us guys to our own devices and away we went to check this place out. I have been there about 4 years ago, but a lot of different cars come and go.
About 90 minutes checking out these amazing custom cars, watched a short video, talked with Darryl's wife. She explained that they had just returned from a car show in Las Vegas last night. And had driven Darryl's latest creation a 1957 Cadillac custom car, there and back. She showed us a bunch of pictures and was very informative. And a beautiful hard covered book with pictures of over 100 of Darryl's creations. He just happened to be there taking a break from cutting the grass and personally autographed it for Rob too. It was a thrill to finally meet him and even took us to his workshop out back where he was making some adjustments to the Caddy '57 after returning from the show.
I took over 100 pictures of the various cars on display and edited it down to still too many. So if you don't want to look at some of these amazing creations maybe stop here. But if you do remember that you can click on the pictures for a large image.

WOW....that is an amazing car museum. The paint job on those cars is fabulous. I am not a monster car lover but if I were, those are some of the best.
