Where are we today ?
We were here about three years ago and really enjoy this park and the area. A few new pics I took this morning on one of my many walkabouts.

This morning we made a trip into town, check out the visitors centre, this area is known as the
Dinosaur capital of Texas, so maybe we need to check some of these places out and go looking for Dinosaurs.

Checked out historic downtown Glen Rose and looks like we have explored this area before. Stopped by the grocery store and Suzie got a craving for Pizza tonight. So picked up a nice frozen one. Back home we got to enjoy a very hot afternoon outside in the shade (close to 80 f, luckily it was overcast) and we had some shade.
Relaxing with our books for a while then time to fire up our Weber Q. I dressed up this (4 meat pizza) with lots of extra toppings that we like, fresh mushrooms, onions, roast pork, broccoli, fresh tomatoes, olives and extra cheese. on our Weber Q on the trivet for about 30 minutes and it turned out absolutely wonderful. And even have left overs for tomorrows lunch.

ready to grill |
While the pizza is cooking had this amazing cloud appear in the sky beside us. What is? Puppy begging , new born baby? Could be whatever you want it to be I guess.

Did not take too long and now time to enjoy our pizza |
Got an email today from Jeri about some things to check out in this area, apparently they lived in this area for a quite a while. Thanks for the tips Jeri and will check these things out.
So with a wonderful hot day today the weather forecast is going downhill for a few days. We will take what we get and still enjoy this area.
Thanks for stopping by again and hope your weather was pretty good too.

That is such a neat looking cloud. Love it. Our rain has arrived here in the valley so it will probably be heading your way shortly.
ReplyDeleteYep the weather guesser has us pegged for a few days of cold wet stuff.
DeleteThe trees in your first photo are amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love looking at the clouds. They have such a wonderful story to tell.
The clouds do tell wonderful stories and paint excellent pictures.
DeleteGood job on the pizza! What a cloud... Enjoy!
ReplyDeletethe pizza did they trick to hot to cook inside.
DeleteI noticed olives on half the pizza...that would be my half too. I love olives, all kinds!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful spot you have there! Love the trees with branches everywhere!
The olives are for me, love them too.
DeleteWow .. that pizza looks fantastic. I love your wide open spot. I wish we could find all that room everywhere we parked. However, with storms in this area, hopefully it won't put a damper on your area as it passes through. The park does look like it "ain't what it used to be" ... but is that good or bad?
ReplyDeleteWe are having a few COLD days, but we can handle it as long as no S#*W.
DeleteNot sure what it used to be but is a very busy park with lots of activities and is in excellent shape. New management a few years ago has really got things looking good.
Cool looking cloud and terrific looking pizza!
ReplyDeleteTasted pretty good too!
DeleteWe just left home this morning. It looks like Tres Rios is on our route to Mexico, so we just might stop by in a few days to a week!
