Round and round until it is all mowed, While the slow cooker makes an awesome meal.

Where are we today ?

Wow it is really cooling down  56F at 6 am. Chilly but also refreshing. Got some  computing  and coffees consumed then into New Hamburg for a few food items and the license sticker for Suzie's car. The sticker was a quick in and out no lineup,3 minutes later all done and $120. 00 paid to the government.
Back home I cut up our large 5 lb pork loin roast I picked up the other day for $6.47. Froze a roast for us and 2 pork chops. And a 3 lb roast in the slow cooker with potatoes, onions and carrots for tonight's supper. for the 3 of us.
My slow cooker was not big enough so I  used a larger one of Sandy's and set it on low for 8 hours.
Sandy's large slow cooker did the trick for a larger meal
Then we had a light lunch and I went back to Camp Awesome in Plattsville to finish mowing the rear couple of acres. That done in a hour and back home. It was a wonderful quite warm sunny day just going round and round the yard until I took the last strip. Nothing to do while mowing the lawn other day dreaming, something that I am good at. As a matter of fact my CB handle back in the 80's was "Daydreamer" when I belonged to a CB club having a lot of fun with family and kids.
I took some gas for the mower and go to work.
well not really work, playing on the mower
just mowed form here to the tree line
going round and round until it was all done
loving the sunny skies and corn fields next door
A bit later back home puttered around with a few things got some more reading done outside in the shade enjoying the sunny afternoon weather.
And while out here watched this tractor going back and forth most of the day,  large tanks of liquid manure he must be spreading somewhere, we don't smell it though.
sounds like train going down the road
Suzie has been helping her Dad glue a couple of puzzles together  and plus to a backing so he can mount them into some frames he is building . Now what kind of puzzles would a retired farmer like to do? You guessed it here is a couple recently finished below.
Suzie cleaning up the mounted puzzle before the glue dries.
another nice puzzle
The slow cooker did it's magic today a one pot meal. Roast pork, potatoes, carrots, onions and celery. I thickened the tasty gravy and we had a feast. Of course I made a salad to go with it.
this pork is so tasty and tender
some apple sauce and we were well fed. lotsa leftovers too
Now back under our awning enjoying a nice cool evening. Not too cold yet, wrap up this posting and dive right back into my Kobo for a while.
Thsnksfor taking a peak again and hope y'all had a great day and enjoy a nice safe Labor day weekend, wherever you are.

Cooled down nicely last night and humidity pretty well gone. We both had a wonderful sleep and now up early as usual. My new Mac Book air is performing wonderfully. And this morning I turned it on and looks just my old one, everything set up and working only much faster and better than my old one. So far the only issue I have is Microsoft Office for Mac . but will get to that in time. But I do have a compatible program on this computer called "Numbers" very similar to excel and my spread sheets were able to be moved here and are still usable. . wow . this is amazing!.
I whipped into New Hamburg for a few things for tonight's supper, and stopped by the licence place . But today a very long lineup . No need to wait, Don't need the sticker for Suzie's car for a about 3 weeks and I will be back in town again many times.
We enjoyed a nice tasty light lunch then I whipped over to Camp Awesome to mow some lawn. Heck it is only 10 minutes away and I do enjoy doing that.
So hopped on the mower for an hour and got 1/3 of then yard done. The front part has been done so just another hour maybe tomorrow and will be good for a while yet.
I do enjoy mowing the lawn here
at camp awesome
really love the quiet times here
Then back home to relax in the shade. It actually feels cold  at 70F and no humidity. Always enjoy the back county roads that I can travel around here.
Just back here relaxing in the shade gotta wear a sweater for the chill. but can still wear my shorts.
love  the bush right behind our coach
this is a nice spot to hang out for a while
and help out when Sandy is in for Surgery
all is going well and she will be fine
For supper tonight going to make some garlic shrimp with pasta tonight. For us and Suzi'es Brother Dennis.  Pick up these shrimp  today and look very interesting . Ended up they were excellent !
very tasty shrimp
A quick saute with fresh garlic and mushrooms
added alfredo sauce to go with the pasta
wow ! this was excellent , gotta get more of these shrimp
Supper done and Suzie whipped up the few dishes we had the back home to relax outside. working on this posting and reading , just because we can.
Suzie doing the final cleanup
Relaxing under our awning and Suzie's brother Dennis came  home from the hospital, visiting with his wife Sandy, She is doing well and in recovery.
He sat with us for a while, chatted and really had a nice conversation with him, Until it got too chilly, About 9 pm was about 60F , brrr, So he headed home and we inside. Wrap up this posting and call it a night.
We had a wonderful day here and hope you did as well.
       Thanks for stopping on by.

Just another warm night with windows open for fresh air. Gotta love it.
Playing with my new mac Book Air. All my files, documents and programs were installed with my time machine. So nice !
I was having some issues with my apple ID but that was resolved with a phone call to Apple support. And a couple of my programs are not compatible with my new operating system High Sierra but I can resolve those easily when I feel like it. Right now everything I need is working wonderful . And sure do love to have a very fast computer touch pad working and I can now see all the letters on my key board. Maybe a few less typos.LOL  maybe...
eventually got a few nice walkabouts
down the road here
really enjoy the quiet farm country settings here
love these  , what ever they are

It is amazing , that I can now talk pn my phone!!!!  Into the house with Suzie and Sandy to catch up. New Mac Book, wonderful warm weather and a very tasty supper,

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Another very warm night for sleeping but once again our fantastic fan kept a nice breeze coming in across our bed.
After coffees and computing this morning. I took a nice country drive into Plattsville, chat with the guys at Pettigrew's garage for a few minutes.
love these back roads around here
Then home to pick up Suzie. Headed into the Apple Store in Waterloo to pick up my new Mac Book Air. My old Mac Book pro is 10 years old and has a few issues that are really not fixable. but it still works. So this is the time to replace it. Before we head south. It has worked seamlessly for me over the years, and I do love my Mac book. This new one is thinner and much faster than the old one with 512 GB sold state drive. Plus I can see the letters on the key board on the new one (other key board worn out) my touch pad works (love the touch pad on a mac) and is much lighter a even thinner.
the Apple store in Waterloo
busy as always.
In no time I had my new computer and can take it home to set up, The Apple system is very easy , so I just let it do it's thing.
old one on  the left new Mac Book air on the right
Did  a few things to  start the process and hooked up my time machine backup and let it do what it needs to do, Just walkaway it eventually should be just like new again.
Then we sat outside to enjoy our e-readers for a while.
so quiet and peaceful here in the country
I finally managed to finish this 5 book box set I got from Croft and really loved every one of these books. by Scott Pratt. Joe Dillard an amazing character in this series. Thanks Croft !
Looking at my home page on my Kobo I have read 83 books and 1;458 hours of reading. Wow, I am really impressed that I have read so much.
Stats  are right here
Another page turner with Stone Barrington,I do read once in while
A bit later Sandy dropped by with her grands for a visit. And chat for a while.
drive their gator here just because they can
they even have a trailer
coming for  visit
Soon time for Supper, Sandy heated up some wonderful rolled ribs they had with sage stuffing, I did not make them but they were pretty close to my recipe as Suzie noticed.
love rolled ribs
I made a salad and Sandy boiled few small taters and veggies, A very tasty and easy supper tonight.
now this was so tasty we enjoyed it all
Supper all done and we back home outside under our awning on a still warm evening, Finish this blog posting outside and some more reading , just because we can, No need to compute inside when the outside weather is so nice.
There ya go another nice day getting things taken care of and a tasty meal to wrap things up.
Thanks for dropping in and hope y'all had a great day as well.

Back to New Hamburg ,and a fish fry with Suzie's Family

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Another good nights sleep with heavy rainfall, thunder and lightning (that I did not hear lol) Fantastic fan bringing in some cooler air.
Got a short walkabout this morning then we secured our coach to get on the road again. Left just before 10 am no rush only going about 90 minutes to Suzie's brothers place in New Hamburg, for a bit. Maybe 2 weeks maybe less.
Stopped at the Canadian Tire Gas Bar in Stratford to fuel up our coach. Gas Buddy told us the cheapest gas on our route only $1.17.9 a litre compared to most places about $1.29.9 Fueled the coach here just over 200 litres figured we saved about $25,00 on this fillup plus we got $9.20 worth of Canadian tire money. Gotta love it!
We arrived at Dennis and Sandy's about noon . Got setup and enjoyed a light tasty lunch. Then I whipped into New Hamburg for some hearing aid supplies, the grocery store for some salad stuff to add to our fish fry tonight. The fish I picked up yesterday at the Reserve ion Kettle Point.
we set  up here and Suzie's Dad in in his shop
making frames for the puzzles he loves to do.
While at the No Frills I spotted these pork loin roasts on sale 30% off , This roast below cost only $6:50 now sure can't turn that deal down. Get a few meal form this. If we had more freezer space would have bought more.
love these pork loin roasts and what a deal
our view from here to the house
Got our fish thawed out 4 lbs in total 15 wonderful pickerel (walleye) fillets.  Enough for 7 of us.Suzie's brother, sister in law, her Sister Rose and Ross , us and their dad.
think this will be enough
we do like this tasty light breading enhances the fish flavour.
I got a couple of fry pans heated with oil and pan fried these fillets, kept warm in the oven until they were all done.
does not take long to cook fish

there ya go we have a feast
Caesar salad, potato salad, sliced tomatoes and some cheddar cheese.
this was tasty and I think everyone enjoyed it.
We finished it all!
After supper was done they got the cards out to Play Rook, a mennonite card game similar to Eucher that I have never quite figured out yet. Watched them play for a while. Found it chilly in the bouse with their AC on. So I headed on home to relax outside, a comfortable 80F wrapping up this blog posting with a full tummy.
Suzie and her Dad
this be the game they play
A bit later Rose and Ross headed home, along with their Dad and Suzie joined me outside for a while before calling it a night.
Nice to be in a new location again and have fun with the family.
Glad that you dropped in for a peak and hope y'all had a wonderful day as well.
