So nice to have friends drop in this afternoon and a great visit!

Where are we today ?
Hey we did have a great day here or what! No weather stuff to complain about anyway.  No snow, no rain, no wind and no sunshine, but not too bad at all. Got lotsa walkabouts today, here, there and everywhere. Down by the rivers and around the resort sure was nice.
nice trails by one of the rivers,
we have three here!

After a great day outside, then we began to enjoy reading our books for a while. Mid afternoon we had visitors! What a surprise, Dick and Raye Walsh. We had met them March 1st 2011 in Rock Port Texas, friends of another couple we know  Bill and Carol. We spent time with them in Goderich Ontario and Rock Glen resort, summer 2012 and they ended up right here in this resort in Glen Rose Texas. Such a small world it is. Dick is great musician and entertainer, too bad we did not have time to listen to his stories and ballads today.
Now so nice to meet up with this wonderful couple again and catch up,  chat and chat until the afternoon was winding down. They had to finish their laundry (it had been going for about two hours). They are heading out in the morning to south Texas for a work camper obligation that they have.

For supper tonight we thinking lets use up our left over pot roast. So checked the fridge and found taters, veggies, roast beef, gravy, frozen veggies, celery and onions. Frozen pie crust from the store and we have a beef pot pie for supper.
Add to that a caesar salad and we have a very tasty supper, perfect for a cool fall evening.
Before we know it the day is done. And a wonderful day it was, where did the time go?
We had a great day, hope yours was too.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit, nice to see y'all again.

  4. Looks like another great day on the road even though you all look pretty bundled up. However, it could be worse. You could be in all that snow up north.

  7. The dinner looks really inviting. I have heard of meat pies but never made one myself because it sounds difficult.

    1. This was too simple, left over meat, cut into small pieces, leftover, potatoes small pieces, heat up in a pot with some onion and garlic add some gravy and frozen mixed veggies. One pie crust for the bottom, in oven until cooked, let it cool, add the filling, pie crust on top and back in the oven until golden brown. Can do with any meat, or cook up some ground beef with onions a few veggies tiny bit of gravy, salt pepper to taste. The gravy keep it moist.
