Keeping busy even though its a bit cooler than we would like.

Where are we today ?
This is where we are, nice and quiet, large sites but not real warm today 50f , overcast and a cool breeze, but we are happy. I went to town (Madill) and Suzie even went with me ! That is a rare occasion but we had fun. Checked out Wally World (Walmart for those that don't know the lingo). Picked up a few things and stopped by the Atwwood Ranch and Home store kinda like a TCS store and was so cool only more. I was looking for some washers to ad to the hinges on our entry door (it needs some help), getting old ya know.
this where we are
down by the lake on my early morning walkabout
Back home in time for a bite to eat for lunch and I played with our door adding shims and it now opens and closes much better now.
This afternoon we were able to enjoy some time outside reading out of the wind, but no sunshine. The next few days should be awesome!
Eventually time to fire up our Weber Q to grill a couple of these very tasty apple cinnamon sausage ( from Swiss Sausage Co. we picked up when at Lost Valley lake resort), sweet potato slices and an apple worked out perfect.
very tasty sausage
sweet taters, apple and sausage
I also whipped up a fresh caesar salad to add to the mix and all was really good.
sure did the trick and so very tasty!
After supper another walkabout then settle in for the night, post the blog, read a bit, then let the tv watch me for a while until Suzie wakes me up to go to bed.
We sure manage to keep ourselves busy doing nothing, where does the day go? We have few more days here before we move on, just the way we like it, whats the hurry?
Again thanks for stopping on by here in southern Oklahoma.

  1. Trade you places. It is warmer now than when the sun was up all day. Next few days it is supposed to warm slightly before taking the plunge. Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  2. We really like the Texoma area. We stayed there quite a bit when we lived in the Dallas area.

  4. It will be interesting to see what the weather does in the South this winter. We are really hoping for some heat on only our second winter outside of mexico in eight years!

You sure know how to eat!

    1. Probably not as good as Mexico but we enjoy the south west.
We all have to eat may as well make it tasty and interesting too.

  5. That last bit reminded me of something my Dad used to say, "Wake up, and go to sleep right!"

  7. I always have to wake Jim up to go to bed. He sits in that recliner, puts his feet up and is out. Must be a man thing. It's always nice when those projects (like fixing the door) get done. I'm sure there are more you can move on to.

    1. I think its the recliner that does it for me along with the tv.
Always seem to have little projects to attend to, which I enjoy.
