Heat wave? And got our Weber Q out for supper, Awesome !

Where are we today ?

Well this is much better, almost a heatwave compared to what we have been having, actually felt warm outside this morning and VERY foggy. The snow and freezing rain we got last night was turning to slush. By noon the temperature reached 50f (10c) almost felt like a heatwave after the last few days. And would have been much nicer if the sun was shining. Just that the ground is wet and somewhat muddy.
last nights snow and ice is melting this morning
not frozen anymore, a good thing
Suzie had a doctor appointment in New Hamburg this morning and she was back here for lunch. Then she took off to visit her Dad in Stratford and sent me on some errands in Waterloo.
A very slow foggy drive all the way there and back for both of us. And we were both back home by 3 pm.
yup its foggy
Now to relax and read a bit then whip up supper. And it was so warm out just had to bring out our Weber Q 100. We were having major grilling withdrawal. Gonna grill a couple of boneless pork chops to add to a salad and was really wonderful !
Now our Weber Q is happy and so are we!
now this is the way it is supposed to be
wonderful, huge chops and lotsa leftovers too !
Nice that the cold snap has left us now and the weather Gods predict rising temps for the next while, looks like a trend that we will love!
Thanks for the visit, love it when you stop on by.
As I am posting this we are having a heavy spring rain, this is the way it is supposed to be in mid April.

Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Fall and Winter..

  4. It sounds like spring has arrived. Glad to read the ice has thawed, nothing worse then driving on icy roads. Hope the weather trend continues. Nothing better then a heavy spring rain to make everything smell fresh. Plus, it takes care of the dirt and salt left behind from the melted snowbanks.

  6. Well, I'm not so sure I'd call that a heat wave but anything is almost better than snow and ice!

    1. Well when we are dressed for 14f , 50 f feels like a heatwave. But you were just in 90f down to 50 big difference too.

  8. We left a charcoal grill here years ago... you're grilling makes me want to clean out the cobwebs and fire it up.... snow's all gone (it didn't last), and I think the rain has quit.... yep... time to get out that grill. Your food always looks so delicious!

    1. Thanks Sharon love grilling our food whenever I can. The propane makes it much easier, don't have a charcoal grill anymore but do love them.
