Just another wonderful sunny day here sure do love it! Got an early morning walkabout most of the town, couple miles in. So nice and peaceful here at 7:30 am.Just checking out some of the houses I have owned in town . Three of them since 1982. The first one below was a very tiny place on a double lot in 1982 the price was right and worked out perfect at the time. It has been added on to and the lots severed . The original was 750 square feet now 2,700 square feet. it is very large!my first house in Plattsville, tiny but it worked |
looked much nicer back then |
we bought this in 1992 |
this is the same house as the pic above that we sold in 2006, how it looks today |
Outside enjoying this amazing weather, short's t shirt, sandals fresh air and exercise. Hopping to use John's truck when it's available maybe tomorrow to clean up the piles of brush from the yard to the burn pile.
But we did get some very nice quality reading time together, in the shade (too hot in the sun, can you believe IT?)
Then as usual Suzie lets me whip up supper, tonight Shrimp kabobs on the Weber Q, add to our tasty salad. The Kabobs sprayed with olive oil and garlic only takes a few miniute and so tasty.
shrimp kabobs on the grill |
yep sure did the trick again |
Thanks for stopping in and really hope your weather was awesome as well!
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Fall and Winter..
Fun to check out the old neighborhood. That deck really made a big difference.
ReplyDeleteAlways wanted a wrap around deck and I made it happen we enjoyed it for quite a few years.
DeleteI think we must be getting just a little cool air off the lake, as it's not quite THAT warm out such that I could be wearing shorts. Sure is nice for a change though. I don't shiver when I step out the back door.
ReplyDeleteNo lake here and was an amazing day, that we did enjoy.
DeleteMaybe a downside being by the lake as I found out many years ago.
The sunshine is wonderful though.
Isn't it fun to check out "the past"..... You can kinda visualize what life would be like if... You'd stayed ther... You changed things.... Whatever. But if you're like me, you look at that past and are thankful that life took the turns it did and you are where you are today.
ReplyDeleteYes it sure is. fun . Sure glad that we choose this path to follow, Love the lifestyle now. Much more then working and staying in one place all year.
DeleteWe shared your weather today and it helped us get some serious moving done.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
It was a perfect spring day !
DeleteI love to go back to places we've lived to see the changes. Sometimes there are big ones and others not so much. Glad you're experiencing great weather.
ReplyDeleteLotsa changes here in town, this is just the old part that we love.
DeleteLoving the weather right now is amazing !
Sounds like another perfect day. Really like reading it was to hot in the sun...especially since we will turn north on I-75 tomorrow and will be in lower Michigan by the end of the week.
ReplyDeleteKeep on travelling and hope this weather follows along with you.
DeleteWith three houses, you must have had the travel bug back in the early 90's. Hehe.
ReplyDeleteI have had 11 houses and moved 22 times before we went fulltime, I have always had the itch since I was a kid. Travelled to the east, coast , west coast down south in the 70's, 80's and 90's, gotta keep moving.
DeleteI've revisited a couple of places we lived during our Coast Guard career and found them all demolished, so they just live on in our memories and a few old photos.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how this change over the years.
DeleteIts good to stop and reminisce. Fond memories of the town. You've journey a lot this winter looking at your map. Great to take stock and think how far you've come, in miles and houses.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to look back at life once in awhile, but we like to keep moving forward.
