Where are we today ?
Cooler last night and no more Tornado warnings is a good thing! Up early then a nice walkabout the resort enjoying the sunrise.
|
nice flowers and I won't name them, cause I will be wrong for sure |
Then secure our coach to travel, we pulled out at 8:15 am taking a few back roads to I-44 heading east missing the toll roads. Mostly a sunny day and some winds (25 mph) but not too bad, mostly,
almost tailwinds.
|
nice back roads for the first hour |
Then on I-44 for the rest of the day. Our Sirius satellite radio is sure nice for these days, we just boogy along, dancing, singing and tapping our feet with the tunes from the 60's. Sufficient rest areas so we could get out and stretch, about every 90 minutes =perfect.
|
first neat water tower |
Then the Missouri Rest area love these! On Route 66...
Back on the road enjoying the great weather and scenery, We never tire of our travels.
|
Is this a water tower or full of Bourbon? |
Through St.Louis friday at 3 pm really no traffic at all we were surprised. Saw the Arch again but really no desire to stop. Crowds, people, traffic, city, really not our style.
|
Here we are set up at Walmart, |
Through St Louis, fuel up at the Flying J Rv lanes, no problem and arrived at the Walmart 3:30 pm. Time to walkabout Walmart pick up a few things, make sure we can park here for the night and all is good. Read and compute for a while then whip up supper.
Tonight a chicken pot pie and a salad, easy tasty meal on the road. For the recipe you can click
HERE or my recipe blog top right sidebar. Love our propane oven ! No electricity needed.
|
so easy and so tasty |

We have found some terrific rest stops in our travels. We've also found some that just allow us space to get off the road. We also use plenty Walmarts in our travels.
ReplyDeleteThere is some very nice rest areas around the country and we like to make good use of them.
DeleteDaffodils. You would have been right this time. Being in the UK I know those very well. They are passing there best in my garden now.
