Was a cold night last night and we had some snow but the major wind eventually died down, after it rocked us to sleep. We did have a wonderful sunset last night though so that will be my first picture of the day.

Time to get outta here |
Morning walkabouts the Flying J after coffees and computing taking our time no rush but hit the road about 9 am. Great travel day east on I-70 then north on I-75, very little traffic even on I-75 arrived in Wapakoneta shortly after 11 am. And no winds today, huge bonus!
|
nice quiet roads this morning |
|
cool water tower, kinda blurry though |
Set up on our site (they have winter water here, nice). Temps in the mid 50'f and sunny. But a cool west breeze. We plan on staying here 2 nights, just cause we can and only $10. a night for us with FHU's. nice pool and spa too will indulge in tomorrow probably.
|

After lunch I whipped into town for a few supplies then back home to adjust our problem rear compartment. It was not locking shut easy fix so all is good. Few walkabouts the resort enjoying the sunshine. Read a bit then whip up supper.

a great family resort, would be very busy in the summer |
Tonight a tasty pork tenderloin baked in the oven,(only here for 2 nights, windy and cooler so no need to set up our Weber Q, as much as I would like to), a fresh salad as usual and some tasty asparagus, (with olive oil, sea salt a fresh ground pepper) nuked in the microwave about a minute , tasty and still crunchy. Just the way we like it !
|
worked out pretty good in the oven,'but would be much better on our Weber Q |
Supper was awesome and more leftovers that we will make good use of. Now to relax a bit more enjoy the evening together. Does life get much better? Think not!

119 miles today |
Glad that y'all stopped by again, al is going well here and just taking it easy the way we like. Watching the weather to see how it goes.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Fall and Winter..
Nice day for you finally! How did you find a $10 spot in Wapa? $50+ at KOA :( I'm sure you've done Armstrong on a previous visit, but if you are into Annie Oakley she grew up in Greenville and the Garst has a great display. ENJOY!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, day yes.,the KOA is just down the road from us, this is another membership park for us ( one of about 200) , Coast to Coast that we can stay at for $10.00 a night. Have done Armstrong and the bicycle museum, maybe Annie Oakley another time.
DeleteDon't like traveling in the snow but don't think you got much. I do like the short days.
ReplyDeleteNo snow on the road so that is just fine.
DeleteIt's all good! Enjoy your day tomorrow....
ReplyDeleteAll is very good.
DeleteSounds like the perfect life to me too. I sure would like to have a swim in that pool.
ReplyDeleteThe pool is wonderful, this is the perfect life for us.
DeleteNice to stop for a couple of days, recharge.
ReplyDeleteYes it is, the way we like to travel when we can.
DeleteDon't like that four letter word.... s n o w!
ReplyDeleteJust like them other four letter words wind, rain, and cold.
DeleteGorgeous sunset. I wonder what you'll do with the leftovers you don't eat.
ReplyDeleteThe left over pork loin makes for nice lunches. sand wiches or whatever.
DeleteHard to believe these late snows - maybe that's over for this year.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's over. Snowing like crazy back home, should be gone tomorrow.
DeleteWhich way are you heading home by? Looking at the map you have four options. Make certain to top off your gas before crossing back to Canada.
ReplyDeleteStill a few more cool days ahead but hoping you enjoy your time.
be Safe!
It's about time.
We cross at Sarnia, top up in Marysville MI just a few miles from the border.
DeleteThese are the four letter words we like: Heat, warm, calm.....
ReplyDeleteYes, yes !
DeleteThat pool sure looks great. Be prepared to freeze some more upon coming home.
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here but colder back home brrrr....
DeleteSnow? Maybe you should turn around and head back down here to Texas. Here in Cut & Shoot, TX it is sunny and will hit 80 degrees today. Cool nights and warm days, a great combination. And, you always make me hungry with your food pics. Yum, Yum.
ReplyDeleteI wish we could go back down there, not much enjoying this weather right now.
DeleteYikes! Snow! What happened to Spring? :cO
ReplyDeleteI think spring has unsprung lol.... But will be back next week.
DeleteI think we are going back to Ontario a little to soon. We came up I75 just after lunch today. We are staying with our daughter and family in Lima until next Monday. I thought I was going to get away with out having to winterize the coach this spring but I just finished blowing out the water lines. We are staying with the family in there home and no power where we leave the coach.
ReplyDeleteWe be passing by Lima in the morning will wave at ya.
DeleteYep it is a little soon, but we are living in our coach, just need to run the furnace a bit to keep things from freezing. heated tank, have done this before.
Next week weather looks much better we should be just fine.
Travel safe and enjoy your visit.
Went out and checked the coach this morning. Some jugs of water I have in one of the storage bays were not frozen at all so it may been OK. Back to Waterloo Monday. Warm it up PLEASE!
