Amazing weather and great news.

Where are we today ?

         Today starts off wonderful and then it just kept getting better by the minute! After an early morning drive around the village and country, started a small pot of homemade chicken noodle soup from our leftover cornish hen carcass. Added some no salt chicken broth  to top it up and got 3 bowls of wonderful very tasty soup for lunch. While I was doing this Suzie whipped into the Stratford hospital to visit her Dad.

            Then I set to "work"? - fun,  puttering around the yard,(fresh air, sunshine and exercise) getting very warm, next thing I know I am in shorts and T shirt before noon ! Now this is why we here for this amazing weather!

           At the Stratford hospital the Doc's were there and said he was good to go! Yahoo, he Happy, we Happy and looks like he will be fine, all went very well.

           She sent me a text at 1:22 pm ("taking Dad home, pick me up please") so stopped what I was doing hopped in the car and picked her up in New Hamburg. Her Dad is looking pretty good, tired but good.

            Now we back at "Camp Awesome" and enjoyed some afternoon reading in the warm sunshine. Temps up to 19c (68F) some toasty warm in the sun, gotta love it !

            I had picked up a wonderful Pork Loin roast only $1.77 a lb , over 6 lbs. I cut it up and got 6  large boneless pork chops and 2 large pork roasts not to shabby for $11.79

           Then the afternoon enjoying our e readers. Even had the windows open in the coach, was 78f inside and no heat on! Not thats is just the way we want it here.

         Then about 4:30 fire up our Weber Q 100 preheat for 15 minutes, turn to low and set this pork roast on the grill after marinating with a rub and olive oil for the afternoon in the fridge, close the lid for about an hour or so , turn once until internal temp 145f.  Last 20 minutes I set a cored apple on the grill with cinnamon inside the core and was so very tasty.

now that was so  tasty and tender,
lotsa leftovers too, lunches etc..

        Now today was amazing and the next 3 days are supposed to be even nicer according to the weather Gods, yup we will take it and much more, bring it on !
