What a wonderful sunny day we are having! Gotta love it. Got a nice country drive around the area this morning and stopped by Pettigrew's garage to chat with the guys for a bit. Then time to chat with Suzie. She wants to go spend some time with her Dad, so I packed her a lunch and she was off to the Stratford Hospital. While she did that I played outside. Got John's electric chain saw on a stick. Nice 10 foot pole for cutting branches etc. I trimmed a lot of broken branches and limbs for a while just enjoyed the fresh air and exercise. Added to the brush piles to take to the burn pile soon. Pulled out 200 feet of water hose to top up our fresh water tank and a trip to New Hamburg to check her Dad's answering machine and get his mail. Home to putter around outside a bit more, chat with a neighbour, then I got to enjoy my e-reader outside on my lawn chair in the warm, afternoon sun. Spring/summer is just about here !

Then when Suzie sent me a text she will be on her way home by 5 pm I fired up our Weber Q to grill a wonderful cornish hen. Love these, just perfect for the 2 of us, and in the US can pick them up 2 for 6 bucks ! about 8 dollars each here, not. Think I will make a small pot of chicken soup tomorrow with the carcass, because I can. Gotta have real chicken soup !
about an hour in this cooler weather but still done to perfection |
added to a salad, sure did the trick |
and another sunset in the bush behind us |
Thanks for stopping by for a visit and really hope you had a great day as well.
