Dreamin'

Where are we today ?
New Hamburg Ontario

Before I woke up this morning I was dreaming that I was a dog asleep on the beach in Mexico. Wow was I surprized to wake up inside our motorhome with a cold chill, no Pacifico and another dog barking, musta been Omer outside.
whadda ya think look like me?
Well I got up, had a bunch of coffee to make sure that I was me and not a dog, Suzie looked at me and said hmm, you dog you....

Ok enough of this dreamin stuff, that's what happens when we stay in one place to long. So we took a quick trip to the Suzie's Doc for a checkup, stopped in New Hamburg to so she could help her Dad with a spreadsheet for the Mennonite Relief Sale, he is in charge of organizing setup this weekend. Then home for a bite to eat and play with Omer.
It was nice warm day again with a cooler breeze, just perfect for me to hop on the Grasshopper for a couple hours more of grass cutting. Then we can relax in the shade with our books for short while listening to the cows, can you here them?   mmooooooo......
mmoooo.....
While I cut grass Sandy whipped up a nice bunch of fresh strawberry/rhubarb muffins, with Spelt flour (Dennis friendly).
yummy muffins
Once she was done in the kitchen, my turn. Tonight I'm gonna whip up a shepherd's pie and a tossed salad for supper. We need to eat by 6 o'clock so that we can catch our grandson's soccer game at 6:30 tonight, Dennis can eat whenever he has time.
shepherd's pie tonight
pretty tasty
Then we head off for a 25 minute drive to Drumbo, just past the train that always gets in our way and catch a lively soccer game on a wonderful warm sunny evening.

our team won 3-2 !
We still do not have a date set for Suzie's mothers double bypass surgery, its like we just hurry up and wait. So wait we will do, in the meantime can see a bit more of the family here and watch two of our grandsons play ball.

Glad you dropped by so I could share my beach dream with you. I wonder where I will be tonight?

  1. Thanks for the update on Suzie's mom. I was going to ask and now I don't have to. The shepherd's pie looked yummy.

  2. I remember that rail line or a spur from that line in Drumbo used to run right up through Tavistock to Stratford many, many, years ago. I remember, in the steam engine days, riding on a coach from Tavy to Stratford one Sunday night with an Uncle.

    1. We love Shepherd's Pie to, it was a favourite in my restaurant as well. It doesn't cost any more to eat well if you plan right an enjoy cooking like I do. Almost no prepared foods and buying the specials works great.

  6. Boy, I love that pic with Omer and the Pacifico-bottle. If he would have had a cowboy strawhat like the one you're showing up, well.....it could have been you. I guess! ;-)

  7. I loved how you described sitting there and listening to the cows...felt like I was right there beside you! And thanks too for providing updates on Beatrice. I haven't been able to connect with mom and dad since I heard, so its nice to find out what's happening through your blog. Tell Aunt Beatrice I am thinking of her.
